Good experience overall

Pros: Very clean and quiet, good location and reasonable rates. The fitness center was great, too!
Cons: The continental breakfast...hard biscuits, cold eggs, cereal & waffles. No juice because no one had a key to turn on the machine.

I stayed at tha Tuscaloosa location when I came up to move my son into his dorm at UA. The young lady at the desk was mostly polite, but not super friendly. After a shift change, I asked the new person to recommend a restaurant that wasn't part of a chain. She said there are no restaurants in Tuscaloosa that aren't part of a chain. Wow. They had obviously been busy since when I got to my room it was still being cleaned....no problem, except there was no shampoo/conditioner and no coffee stirrers. These things were not a huge deal to me....my main concern when staying in a hotel is cleanliness and quiet....this hotel was both of those things, and the bed was quite comfortable as well. I would definitely stay here again.

Pros: Friendly staff. Convenient to interstate and restaurants.
Cons: Carpet needs to be replaced.
Location: Good restaurants.
This is a very old facility. While the staff was very friendly and nice, the hotel is very outdated. The rooms were clean, but there is an odor that no amount of cleaning can remove. The carpet badly needs to be replaced.

Wouldn't recommend

Pros: The staff were all pleasant and friendly.
Cons: So much.......
Location: Close to the University.
I had stayed in this hotel before and it had been fine but this time I was truly disappointed and will not be back. My room was basically clean but smelled of mold. It was late and I was tired so I didn't ask for a new room - but I think someone should have noticed before they put some one in there. Additionally I was very unhappy that the only telephone in the room was in the outer "Living room" area - nothing by the bed. Had there been some kind of emergency and I couldn't get out of bed I would have been unable to call for help. Finally the gym was awful! There was no air conditioning (Alabama in August!) no remote for the TV so I couldn't turn it down, off or change the channel, no towels, no free weights and the elliptical machine made a terrible very loud metal scraping metal sound the entire time I used it.

Great staff and great hotel! The front desk person was very friendly and helpful. We were nervous about passing through during move in weekend for Alabama when the hotel would be full of college kids and their families but we had a great experience!

Daughter starting Alabama. This was a little off the beaten path which gave us breathing room from so much traffic!! Staff was so nice and room was perfect.

Pros: The staff was superb. Room was very clean.
Very close to the Interstate and was easy finding and getting in and out. It is a bit far from the Amphitheater and the University, so you will have to drive a bit. The room was very clean, and the staff was very welcoming and nice. I would stay here again.

Although we had a few bumps upon the arrival at the hotel, the evening desk attendant was phenomenal!!! We would return to this establishment simply because of her friendly and efficient manner of making everything exactly what we needed.

Convenient to Hwy

Cons: The elevator was loud and sounded like it needed some "lube'n", as another passenger said.
Location: The hotel was only 2 blocks off of the highway so it was easy to find in the dark and easy to get back on in the morning.
Nice and clean. We arrived around 9:00pm after driving 14 hours. We were tired and wanted to relax. The girl at the front desk was cheerful and had everything ready for us. All we had to do was sign the paperwork and pick up our door keycards. The room was clean and decorated nicely.
