The contactless check-in was incredibly convenient, and the room felt elevated with high-end linens, luxury bath amenities, and excellent local coffee. We spent our mornings looking out at the quiet lake and our days exploring nearby Hawley and State Parks. It’s the perfect, peaceful basecamp for a weekend trip. Highly recommend!”

“Looking for a quiet relaxing place to enjoy a beautiful small mountain town? Quaint mountain resort, clean bedrooms with private bath. Complimentary breakfast. Several fire pits and outdoor gathering areas. Close to a park, restaurants, and the lake. Family owned and operated. Would stay again.”

“This place is totally run down. One of the worst hotels I have stayed at in my life. Most of the staff were friendly. Exception was the checkout person who did not even turn to me or lift her head when I asked about the checkout process.”

“No instructions on using air conditioner and no staff available room was freezing. Also a bucket of water was outside my door without any explanation. The info on the property does say there are stairs but it does not state how big a stsircase this is. It’s huge and very difficult if you have any mobility issues.”

“The room was clean and it had been recently renovated. The amenities were lacking - air conditioning didn’t work well, no hair dryer, no coffee/tea, no cups. The staff person on duty was learning a new computer system and check in took 25 minutes. We ended up getting charged twice for the room and the incidental charge was on our card 4 times. I had to call the number left on the door as the office was not open at 8:15. The person I spoke with said she left my paperwork out for the manager. She……

“It is a charming hotel, with actual metal keys. Much more personal than a chain hotel. The television signal was not consistent, which was not surprising for the hilly location. We really enjoyed our stay. The town has many small shops, eateries which are worth enjoying”

“It was obvious that they were trying to revive the timeshare business against the hotel. Food was great. They need to get a system to control air conditioning. You should not be cold all the time. Definitely need hire front desk staff at hotel frontdedk”

“Good location- easy drive to Bethel Woods. Our dog enjoyed his walk to the water. The room was clean but the water in the shower was really weak. Very comfortable bed.”

“Shame to see old school honeymoon resorts fall out of favor with the now crowd. Falling revenue and climbing maintenance is strangling this once iconic resort. The staff appears to love what they do and do it exceptionally well. They do their best with what they have and made my stay an enjoyable one, adding a check to a bucket list item. Thanks to the staff for all of your hard work and dedication!”
