Tvaralund Vacation Packages
Tvaralund is ringed by fascinating villages, towns and cities all waiting to be experienced. Nyaker, is 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the northeast, and Umea can be found 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the northwest.
Approximately 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the southeast of Tvaralund is Umea, a regional center where you'll find Umelagun Water Park, Norrland's Opera and Umea University. Umea City Church, Gammliavallen and Bildmuseet Museum of Contemporary Art and Visual Culture are other good places to visit.
When you hear the call of the great outdoors, follow the lead of active locals and spend a few hours ice fishing and hiking.
Taking the time to learn a little Swedish is one of the nicest compliments you can pay to the locals you meet on your travels. Why not use "Vill du dansa med mig?" This is Swedish for "Would you like to dance with me?" "Where are you from?" is also useful, so try getting your mouth around "Varifrån kommer du?"
The 6th of June is the day when many people in Sweden celebrate Swedish Flag Day, so be on the look out special events and festivities if you happen to be staying in Vasterbotten at that time.
When it is time to depart from Tvaralund, spend the last of your Swedish kronor on last minute keepsakes for the folks at home and bid a fond Hej då (farewell).
