The getaway for a nationally known environmental writer, this light-filled 2-bedroom California bungalow, built in 1947, has been painstakingly renovated with Saltillo tile, state of the art heating and cooling, plus an outdoor shower and cactus garden in the spacious backyard with views of the national park. Lots of attention to detail, from organic cotton sheets to the vintage orange juice squeezer in the well-appointed kitchen. Walkable neighborhood: the national park headquarters is around the corner and the famed 29 Palms Inn is a short walk across a patch of desert, along with a museum and art gallery. There are no lines at this entrance to the national park, perfect for early morning hikers and climbers.

We loved this property, so cute and close to the Joshua Tree park. It has an outdoor shower, an old fashion orange press, and lovely outdoor area with BBQ. Felt right at home here, we made meals, the kitchen had all the cookware and utensils we needed.

Desert vacation

We really enjoyed this sweet bungalow. Clean and comfortable. Everything we needed. Very convenient to Joshua Tree which we drove into everyday. Would definitely stay here again!

Clean; interesting art on every wall; absolutely cannot beat the short drive to the less-busy entrance to Joshua Tree NP.

Joshua Tree Stay

Enjoyed the bungalow. Right next to the park entrance which made easy access. Loved the outdoor shower and enjoyed sitting in the yard. Bedrooms so cute and beds comfortable. Communication was easy. Had everything we needed for a great couple days. Would come again! Thanks for sharing your home!!!

Home is well equipped, clean and comfortable. So close to the best entrance to Joshua Tree. Backyard is large and looks out to a view of Joshua Tree. If you're bringing children or if you're into cable, note that there is no cable nor player for movies. There is however Apple TV which is fine and should entertain sufficiently. Very good property manager who is totally on top of things. Great property book listing sights, restaurants and things to do.
