I stayed in Twin Bridges with myself and my two boys ages (11 and 16) for 3 nights and we had a great time. We were looking for a place where we could just sit back and relax, play board games, read a book, have a fire, and enjoy each others company. Having a fire pit was a must for a place to stay for my boys. They love sitting around the fire pit and putting twigs into the fire. There is not much to do in Twin Bridges unless you are fishing, and we were not fishing but we came for the peace and quiet so this place was perfect for us. We came to Twin Bridges to visit Nevada City Ghost Town and it did not disappoint, the history that the place held was worth the very long drive from MillCreek, WA. We had a blast walking through Nevada City and getting a glimpse back in time, we did end up leaving a donation to help preserve such an amazing piece of history which I suggest anyone visiting do. We need to preserve places like this for future generations. We also visited the River of Gold and panned for Gold. We stayed here for about 2 hours, my kids just loved panning for gold. We did not find any gold but we did find many small pieces of garnet, amethyst, and other small pieces of semi precious rock types. We visited The Ringing Rocks, finding them was a bit of a challenge but once we finally did what an amazing experience. It so cool to bang on the rocks and here they actually make different songs depending on where you hit them. Some Tidbits: > when we stayed the mosquitos were insane. We had to use spray, insect arm bands and burned a repellent coil while anytime outside. We did spend most of our time in the enclosed porch- which was awesome! This is just an FYI so you can bring some repellent. > There is a small grocery store once you pull into the small town, so don't worry if you forgot something. > The river wasn't accessible during the time we stayed in front of the house. I think that is a time of year thing, we just weren't there at the right time. > There is no A/C which is noted on the listing but just wanted to remind you. There are several fans in the house to keep you cool. Another reason the enclosed porch was cool, we stayed out on it until it cooled down each night until around 10pm and then would come back inside to shower and settled down for the evening.
