Okay, but not up to LaQuinta standards

Room was not as clean as it should be. Something had been spilled on the table between the beds and had not been cleaned up. No plugs on the table lamp to plug in cell phones to charge and no alarm clock or clock! Kleenex in the bathroom was a mess, only one regular and one decaf coffee pack. The room and fixtures are showing wear and are not being maintained. A water leak from the room above in the bathtub area had been spray painted with white spray paint to try and cover up the leak instead of the drywall being properly fixed. The breakfast was lacking in items and almost just a continental. The day desk clerk, when told about no alarm clock in the room said "don't worry about it" as a response. It appears the hotel has been purchased by a new franchisee and should probably not be allowed to keep the La Quinta name unless they meet standards. I agree on the two star instead of three star rating. This is disappointing that so many of these nice, middle of the road, three star hotels are not being maintained and the new people don't care!
