Adventure at the La Quinta

Posted Nov 29, 2016
Pros: N/A
I would rate our experience sub-par. For one, all of the hallways smelled like pot. For two, they were out of waffle mix for the Texas Shaped waffles at breakfast. Thirdly, when we got back to the hotel from a night out with the best freaking uber ride we've ever had, there was what I can only assume to be a family reunion going on inside the main lobby around 12 am. I believe they were participating in the mannequin challenge, because every single person stared at us as we walked through- without moving or talking. All in all I would say the best part of our experience would be that the The Hills was having a marathon on MTV, which we watched while getting ready in the room and taking warm shots of vodka.

First and foremost, I would like to apologize to you for your less than par stay! Although upon reading your comments, I would like to ask you to reach out to us here at the property to discuss your concerns. We are an outside property, which means that we do not have typical hallways to walk down. To our knowledge we haven't had a large crowd in our lobby during the night and are wondering if maybe you are referring to another property. We would love to discuss this further with you. Thank you for staying with us and we hope that you will give us a chance to accommodate you with a satisfying stay.

Great night stay and friendly staff

Posted Oct 31, 2016
Pros: Clean rooms, good breakfast.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Athena's is a good Greek food place that is right next door. The mall is within 5 minutes of the hotel.
Fell right to sleep, comfortable bed. Helpful staff. Will stay with them again.

The room itself was fairly clear; however the bathroom was not. There was mold in the shower and hair everywhere including on the towels and in the shower.

Location: You could walk to greek food and also bbq
pretty good experience. We were supposed to have a microwave and fridge in the room and we did not. On the upside they breakfast was not supposed to start until 7 am, which would have left us out since we had to leave to run at race at 6 am. When I went to turn in the key and check out at 6, breakfast was up and running giving us a great start to our race. It was a good value for the money.

Lobby and staff were great. The room was just not clean. Looks like someone just kinda wiped around and maybe swept a little.

Low price, low expectations

Posted Sep 14, 2016
Pros: Easy to get to, Greek restaurant right next door that is great.
Cons: Updated rooms
Location: Downtown Tyler is a fun destination. Ricks, sometimes comedy shows at the Liberty Hall, and great food at Stanley's BBQ
Room smelt of mildew. Staff is friendly enough but you aren't going to be engaging them much anyways. If you need a place to rest your head that isn't on the north side of Tyler, sure stay here. If you can swing nicer accommodations else where, then by all means do.

The staff was friendly. The beds were great!! The breakfast was sufficient. It was just the location that was not the best. The outside area was not good at all. This place definitely needs a la Quinta inn update!

I appreciate your feedback about your stay as this does help us improve our hotel. I apologize that the staff did not communicate with each other to prevent these issues. This was addressed with my staff to prevent from another guest having the same experiences. Again I thank you for your comments and hope to see you again.

You pay for what you get so expect accordingly

Posted Sep 5, 2016
Pros: The bed was comfortable and had plenty pillows and bedding.
Cons: The bathroom was outdated and needed to be deep cleaned.
Location: It's located in a main area of food options and not too far from shopping.
The hotel is exactly what we expected. We paid a low rate compared to other hotels in the area so no real complaints from us. The room is a bit outdated in some respects but updated in others. The bed was comfortable, the ac worked great, and the tv was nice enough.
