We did a girls weekend at the JuJu Spa and to see a band at The Boat. The staff was super nice, the hotel is beautiful inside and the property has great views of the lake. We had amazing facials at the spa and the location was convenient for us to get to our planned nightlife. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Nothing is what it appears when you booked it on website… they advertise a hot tub and fire place .. there was only a fire place..we waited for an hour to check in and then we had to swapped out Rooms because it was dirty .. not a good start..

The pool And hot tub was very relaxing and the atmosphere in the resort was quiet and welcoming. The resort has a restaurant inside which was very convenient.

The manager, Sue?, was responsive, pleasant, caring and accomodating. We were welcomed by Melissa at the front desk who was efficient and engaging during our check-in. I frequently observed her attentiveness toward guests and we appreciated her friendly demeanor. Our waitress, Jessica, was fantastic, topping off our night with a simple but special request. She made all our dessert dreams come true and it clearly brought her genuine joy to do so. The Oxford bridal suite was well worth the splurge. If I were to be fussy, there were a few simple cosmetic repairs needed in the bathroom that stood out among the otherwise emaculate premises and gorgeous woodwork detailing. And though the dark flooring hid it from site it definitely needed a thorough cleaning. Again these were very minor things and I only mention them to keep ourselves credible

Bathtub was broke and wouldn’t drain, service was terrible and staff was drunk. Front desk staff gave 10percent discount due to tub not working. But then called us ungrateful and continued to be rude.

This is a clean property, it’s a new owner/business so they’re possibly still doing improvements or modifications. However, as it is now, there isn’t room service or available food options (when I was there, anyway). The room was spacious, but I’d think the be considered a resort there would be some amenities and not just a room with no other features or services.

The hotel has “Spa and bath” in the name but upon arrival, the pool/spa building was closed due to the board of health? The restaurant was closed and the bar closed early. All I could do at my stay was sit in my hotel room. The rooms themselves were very nice and enjoyable, but not being able to do more than half of the activities I paid for is very upsetting.

We came there to relax in spa and pool after 4 hours ride from NY they told us that spa and pool are closed, there wasn’t any info either on Expedia or their site with info that they close only attraction in that resort

I chose this hotel for my wedding night and I regret it until today. I wrote an email and send it to them multiple times and never got a response whatsoever. Yes, they were out of electricity, but besides that they didn’t have the minimal intention to offer some help, some candles for the room, i would have taken anything, yet when I talked to the front desk I was treated as if the problem was mine, so rude and unprofessional. I decided to cancel the rest of my reservation and they didn’t even offer to come back when things were better. I’d NOT recommend to book here at all.

Everything is closed, the spa, pool, hot tub and restaurant. We were only told the spa was closed and didn’t get notification of it until 6pm the night before our check in. The staff are amazing, quality employees who are doing their best! Way over priced for basically a place to lay you head at night in the middle of nowhere.

Nothing was working as advertised. Hot tub room = no hot tub, only the shower is working. Spa = no coverage, no appointments available, no towels, no access to changing rooms, etc. Restaurant = limited dining at the bar only. Full Breakfast = cold buffet only. Room = not very clean. Room TV, no streaming available. Service = unconcerned with any requests for assistance. Seems like every time I visit, this place is offline for a change of management, staff, or some other issue.

The most comfortable beds, pillows and bedding. The shower pressure is great too. Good size rooms. The only drawback is the $150 per night hold they put on your card. It ties up too much money while you’re traveling. The restaurant was a disappointment.

My personal opinion I think the hotel management should have more training on which room is which not only that but know where the pool is and how to direct us to it and not say it's on the side of the building with no other distractions on how to get there. When we first checked in are room was wrong with no balcony but the manger did move use to a better room for no added charge. The restaurant said it would be open by the end of december but it still was closed in january nothing on the website stated that it wouldn't be open. The floors in the rooms should be cleaned a little better or more often in my opinion. Last thing which was scary the power went for about 2 hours, when we went to the front desk the manager who was working said that the owner Melissa states this happens often. we were told it was the whole area but the houses around the property all still had power. Say the lest we will not be going back to the chateau unfortunately. i hope all these issues and inconsistencies get resolved soon.

I think they have many opportunities to improvement the hotel. There are areas not ready like the gyms, the stairs for access to Spa is not the properly, the Jacuzzis and swimming pool area is good, but it is not near the lobby. And not breakfast available in my visit.

My husband and I stayed here for our 15 year wedding anniversary. The room wasn’t as clean as it should be; spilled over coffee from the coffee maker in the room. Surfaces weren’t wiped or dusted. The spa and pool are located in a separate detached building which you either walk or drive to. The restaurant was being remodeled so it was closed and the bar and lounge closed due to being short staffed. You have to book two weeks in advance for a massage or spa services. If it weren’t for Kerry who came in on her day off, she made the stay more enjoyable! Super friendly and nice! She deserves a raise!

Comfortable but not a good experience
No reservation for me in their system even though I confirmed it with them last time I stayed here 5 weeks ago. At check-in was told that the restaurant and bar opened from 4pm to 9 pm but when we attempted to go to the bad at 4:15 was told that it was closed due to staff shortage. Room was comfortable and clean.

After a full day of driving it was a treat to end our day at Chateau Merrimack. This resort hotel has undergone a huge transformation and it’s beautiful. The rooms are massive, well appointed and beautifully lit and the beds are comfortable. The pillows were a bit puffy for my liking, but that’s how it goes sometimes. The bathrooms are enormous and the tub/ shower combo was luxurious, and there are heat lamps to warm the large space which is a nice touch. Our favourite feature was the pool/hot tub. Located in a separate (very charming) building, the pool was warm and perfect for a leisure swim and some short laps after a full day in the car and the hot tub helped melt all the tension away. The loungers, plants, lighting and design of the pool house make you feel like you’re at a resort and if this spot wasn’t a 10-hour drive from home, we’d definitely return regularly for spa visit staycations. The restaurant was closed for renovations and a menu upgrade (they did give us a tour of the space though, and it’s lovely!) but the lounge/bar was open and we were able to order a delicious Caesar salad, yummy wings and a plate of fries that satisfied three of us. They have a gorgeous wood burning fireplace that smells incredible and makes the space warm and cozy. The staff we were warm, welcoming and truly seem to enjoy their workplace which adds to the good vibes this hotel gives off. For 4.5 stars I expected it to be a lot cleaner. The toilet was not scrubbed. There were fuzzies and little pieces of fabric/paper on the floors. The sheets had some little black hairs on them. You can tell the cleaning staff is really trying to cut corners. The property is nice. The lounge with fireplace is a nice area to hang out for a drink.

This was a great find for me. You don't find hotels like this anymore where there is so much uniqueness to it and beautiful grounds. I would recommend to anyone who loves to get away from the chain hotels.

Room descriptions not as advertised! Restaurant closed with no notice & will be closed for next few weeks. Breakfast shop closed on Sunday & told no staff. Pool not open during “open hours”. The property clearly has staffing and other issues and is NOT delivering the product people are paying for!!!!

No supplies like water bottles, no paper towel, no cups for hot drinks, no towels and no shower for swimmers in the swimming pool ! The afternoon staff on Oct 30 in the swimming pool told the guests cannot have showers after swimming. Would she pay for the med bill for us we caught a cold while we walked back to our room in our wet swiming suits! I spoke to the staff about late check out because we were waiting for my nephew to get out school and she did not informed me that I would be charged for how much and how many additional hours ! If I paid 75 dollars for 2 hrs or 4 hrs , we did not to rush to get out . Onsite manager supported her for wrong doing !

Clean, friendly staff, lounge was super cozy. Lots of updates to this hotel. Really well done with a mix of old touches and modern plushness. Our suite was large and private. Love that the rooms all gave games and they use real keys!
