Wish we went with a different Hotel

Posted Sep 18, 2017
I usually never have anything negative to say about Embassy suites. I enjoyed my stay at quite a few of their other locations . This particular Embassy did have a good location (as family & a business conference was nearby) however, I I think they are in need of some renovations. ( mostly referring to the guest rooms) Our room didn't come off very clean on arrival and the bedroom had a very strong smell of dirty hair/ old linens. Especially the pillows. I've always liked their buffet style breakfast but one of the kitchen workers was very rude when I asked about a turkey bacon/ sausage alternative ( which I've never had a problem receiving at the other locations ) Housekeeping also opened the door when we had the do not disturb sign up while we were getting dressed two or three hours before I check out . I'm not one to complain much about hotel stays in general but I was just pretty disappointed with this Embassy. May switch to the double tree for future stays.

This is a good location and close to many things.

Posted Sep 12, 2017
Pros: Location! Easy to get around and good proximity to major roads.
Cons: I think a larger refrigerator would be an asset for most people. I also noted above the lack of an enclosed gym is a disadvantage.
Location: Tyson Mall and Galleria DC trips to alll sights.
We enjoyed the hot breakfast and a few of the Happy Hours. We wish they had a better gym area becsuse the current area adjacent to the indoor pool is too public. The indoor pool is great especialy during the winter but thr floor is cery slippery. My grandaughter took a small fall. So people need to be careful. The front rooms are a bit dark but that is just the way the building is layed out however we enjoy having two rooms rather than just a standard hotel room and that is one reason we always come back to this hotel when we visit family in the area. The staff is very friendly.

Nice hotel in a convenient location.

Posted Sep 12, 2017
Excellent hotel, friendly staff, located in a nice and safe neighborhoods, close to the metro, spacious rooms but old furniture, good breakfast and definitely a good choice for families with kids. We rented 10 rooms and all 10 family had positive experience.

The pictures is different than the actual hotel. It is older. And the water was off from 10 to 3 pm.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We do understand your disappointment in the overall condition of the property and we are very happy to report that significant renovations will be implemented this September to alleviate and refresh the hotel. Please accept our apologies that we had to suspend water service for a short period of time to repair a valve in the building. I can assure you that this is not the standard in our hotel. Thank you very much for your time and we hope to see you again in the near future!

Disappointing food, impossible parking lot

Posted Aug 27, 2017
Pros: Room size.
Cons: Better breakfast food. Omelettes were the only acceptable item.
Room was decent and spacious, but the breakfast was very disappointing. It was an ordeal to leave the parking lot since it was gated and no one knew how to get the gate to open. Everyone had to push the call button and go through numerous questions before they would raise the gate. It took almost 15 minutes to get out of the parking lot. The hotel staff just shrugged their shoulders.

Run down

Posted Aug 25, 2017
Room was dingy, dated and run down, stains on the carpet. Thin walls- heard babies crying and noisy people outside- we were on the 5th floor. Couldn't wait to check out. Staff was nice, breakfast was ok but the dining area had a strange nasty smell. I love Embasy Suites but this was the worst one we have stayed at. Hey Hilton, it's time to invest some $$$ and fix it up.

Moldy Smell & Parking Fees

Posted Aug 23, 2017
Pros: It was convenient to stores, places to eat, and surrounding cities. I also liked the happy hour and the complimentary breakfast.
Cons: The old furniture and rugs need to be updated. I was disappointed with the old pieces of nicked furniture and rugs.
Location: Nearby.
Although the room pictures were beautiful online, the room had a moldy smell that was overwhelming. The staff was accommodating when I asked for a different room. I was placed in a room one floor above the previous room, yet it also had a moldy smell- just not as strong. I don't know why there are additional parking fees when additional room fees are established in the hotel rates.

We greatly appreciate you taking the time to provide us with valuable feedback from your recent stay with us. I'm glad that you enjoyed our evening reception and breakfast! I apologize for your experience with the room smell and furniture. We are very excited to report that the property is due for extensive renovations this coming September, which will solve those issues mentioned. In regards to parking, the majority of the hotels in the area charge for a parking and we try to keep our rates competitive with the rest of the city. Thank you again and we hope to see you in the future for an improved guest experience.
