Good hotel, but a little out of the way if you're not doing something in the Tyson's/Reston area. Not for the public transportation user.

Nice hotel close to metro - but a bit overpriced

Posted Oct 2, 2017
Sheraton Tysons overall is fine. My room was tastefully decorated and was comfortable, with the exception of a too-small and cramped bathroom. Also, the carpet in the entryway of the room had some stains. I also felt like the wing housing floors 1-3 seemed a bit off the map -- one has to pass the service area (where the employees go in and out) and there was no elevator to the third floor. I swam in the pool on the last day and it was nice. When I talked to the staff or had questions they were helpful. Don't depend on the business area/printers. Staff were helpful in letting me print off their computers since the business area printer was down. It took me about 30 minutes, however, to get a few pages printed. My biggest issue is that if one is staying in this hotel for its proximity to DC it means you are a full hour metro ride from the District. The prices they charge for this hotel should reflect that it is quite a long way from DC.

Nice place to spend weekend

Posted Sep 28, 2017
Pros: Location, Quietness, Shopping and dinning around
Cons: Note for Expedia: when I just checked in after about 30 minutes received email asking for my experience. Give us a time after we check out for review
Location: Shopping, Dinning
Very nice hotel, nothing wrong to say about it. Nice place to spend weekend after hard working days, Gym, pool, dinning, shopping, everything is there...

My stay at the hotel was overall a great experience. The only real issue I had was that the AC kept turning on and off after 20 minutes or so. I enjoy a very cold room and that hindered it from happening. However with that being said, because of the staff, location, and bed...I would definitely consider staying there again.

Probably will never stay at a Sheraton again..

Posted Sep 26, 2017
Pros: Location.
Cons: Everything
Location: Theres a 24hr Walmart across the street
Considering I travel a lot for work I would consider myself a hotel snob and I definitely wont be staying here again. Due to their lack of room service (which still is questionable) I had to grab food from their "Marketplace" where I ended up getting food poisoning from an almost inedible Chicken Tortilla soup. I woke up in the middle of the night throwing up, luckily I was able to contain it with the bedding (none got on the mattress or floor) but I was still charged an excessive cleaning fee of $200 and the housekeeper took photos of a pre-existing stain on the bed (opposite side) and said it belonged to me which was a complete lie. Considering I got sick because of the poor food your hotel was serving I don't think I should have to pay the fee however I understand they have to replace the linens. Aside from that the staff was ok, I called down to complain about the food and got completely dismissed. Room was only serviced twice in the 4 days I stayed there and the TV was broken.

Pros: location for my business
Cons: A lot of things !!
A premier hotel from the past but time has taken it's toll on this hotel. A fine formal dining room has been replaced by a "snack counter". Our TV constantly did not work when most of the channels we wanted indicated 'no signal" due to the dish TV system they had. Parking for hotel guest was a challenge since the hotel catered to many meeting events that occupied most of the over ground spaces. The open shower was dangerously slippery and needed a rubberized mat which they had to purchase.
