We stayed 3 nights in the Lotus Suite, and LOVED our stay. Having seen the reviews and photos, we had high expectations, and Villa Saraswati did not disappoint. Communication prior to arrival was very helpful and appreciated. On arrival we were greeted with welcome drinks and made to feel very comfortable. We were given a phone in case we needed to contact the hotel, and comprehensive advice on the transport costs from Ubud. There is a complimentary drop off into Ubud town centre at 10am and 6pm. The room was beautifully designed with views over the temple, with four poster bed, and had an outdoor bathroom. 5 star service was evident throughout our stay with a little welcome gift and a 'bedtime story' each night. Breakfast is served next to the pool on a communal table. The full breakfast includes eggs, fruit, fresh juice, coffee and pancakes which were all delicious. We had other items from their menu including gado-gado and the very tasty super thin pizza. We also arrived on the day of an Indonesian celebration; Galungan. This included a ceremony at the local temple, which Komamg (the manager) arranged for us to attend, which was wonderful to be part of. The villa is very quiet, private and elegant, and was the perfect end to our Bali trip. Very big thank you to owners Robin and Dean, and manager Komang and the team for making our stay so special.

Location: Balinese Home Cooking restaurant is a short walk from Villa Saraswati. Central Ubud is a short drive away.
Staying at Villa Saraswati for our honeymoon was a decision that was well made. Out of all the places we stayed (4 in total) Villa Saraswati was our favorite. Upon arrival we were greeted with drinks and warm smiles. The staff noticed my husband limping (from an ankle sprain) and asked if he needed help. They provided crutches that really helped him get around and it really helped him make the most out of Ubud on one leg. They even helped take him to see a Balinese healer which helped him recover quicker. Komang the manager, always asked what our itinerary was for the day and was more willing to accommodate be it booking a spa for us or finding us Babi Guling. Robin the owner personally greeted us one morning during breakfast. Breakfast was also amazing. The banana pancakes were our favorite and I also loved the Nasi Goreng. I would recommend Villa Saraswati to anyone staying in Ubud. There's something special about this place that makes you feel like you're not only a guest staying in a hotel, but like family that is visiting from out of town.

Romantic retreat in ideal setting.Posted Dec 31, 2017 on Hotels
Service was amazing and goes out of their way to accommodate and help guests enjoy their stay in Ubud. Things that were bothersome were beyond the hotel’s control; there were mosquitoes during the rainy season of course. Staff had bug spray, mosquito repellent coils and nets for the bed so guests are comfortable. Free breakfast included was on point and delicious.

Villa Saraswati a wonderful boutique hotel.Posted Oct 29, 2017 on Wotif
At the right end of town for the Ubud Writers and Readers Fedtival, Villa Saraswati offers a charming retreat from busy Ubud. It is a little gem. The rooms are spacious and super clean. The host Janet is on hand, supported by excellent Balinese staff, to solve any problems and ensure your stay runs smoothly. The Villa also has a large pool and offers on site massage teeatments. I loved my stay here and highly recommend this excellent boutique hotel.

This is more of a hostel than VillaPosted Mar 20, 2017
Uncomfortable bed. Shared breakfast table with other guests and open concept bathroom with zero privacy when using washroom.

Über oasis in UbudPosted Jul 26, 2016 on Wotif
Villa SaraswatI is a short interesting drive from the centre of Ubud's bustling shopping strip. It is located in a semi rural area and has a lush garden with a cool inviting pool to relax in. Book as a group or perfect for discerning couples and single travellers. The staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly, offering suggestions that helped us plan the rest of our Bali holiday. We were so impressed with our stay we booked a week at The Villas Tejakula - another of their properties. An excellent choice.

Nice choice for UbudPosted May 9, 2016 on Hotels
We had a really lovely two night stay here. The pool is great and the location is only a short ten minute ride to Ubud town. A free shuttle is provided at 10am and 6pm. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is tasty too.
