Quiet, beautiful view out back windows

Posted Aug 7, 2017
Pros: View of the water, full kitchen, staff
Cons: Bathroom was a little tight for 3 people
Location: hiking
Check-in wasn't until 4:00 so we couldn't get into room when we got there but front desk shared maps and info of things we could do until then. When we got into room, we loved the full kitchen. They had plenty of towels and bedding for the sofa sleeper in the closet. A notebook with menus from the area restaurants-nice. Apples and cookies available at the front desk--nice for our hikes the next day. The only thing that wasn't entirely pleasant was the area we had to drive past to get to the hotel. (junk yard?) The night clerk was so sweet.

Hello Sonya and thank you for your beautiful review! Sounds like you had everything you needed to enjoy the area and the suite was perfect for unwinding after a full day! The road to tour small island resort does pass an industrial area, there is a fish plant, boat machine shop, boat launch, woodworking shop... and the little road out to our secluded island surrounded by nature! Thanks for choosing Waters Edge and we look forward to seeing you here again... maybe in a 2 bedroom suite? It has 2 bathrooms ;) Cheers! Kim Foster, Guest Relations Manager

Great location

Posted Aug 6, 2017
Pros: Beautiful location. Spacious room. Friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing at this time.
Location: Jamie's Whale Watching tour. The Aquarium was fun.
Beautiful room, with separate bedroom was great. I woke up to seeing an eagle outside my window. Close to restaurants and Whale tour. It completely met my expectations.

A little difficult to find signage could be clear

Posted Aug 4, 2017
Pros: Fully stocked kitchen and lovely quiet area
Cons: it was very hot when we were there - couldn't open anything due to mosquitoes and there weren't screens on the windows - could have used a fan
Location: We only stayed overnight
I would have liked a fan - screens on the windows so they could be opened without all the mosquitoes. Couldn't find a path to the beach - but overall it really worked for us.

Hello and thanks for your 4/5 review. We have the largest air conditioner in the world, (the Pacific Ocean)... unfortunately it was on the fritz when you were here! That was a crazy heat wave, broke records all over BC... not usually like that here so please do not be disappointed when you return and we are only 15 degrees! We do not usually have many mosquitoes either so maybe that was the heat too? Thanks for choosing Waters Edge and we hope to find you here again... look for the driving instructions on your email confirmation, and don't forget to ask us about the beach access ;) Cheers!!

One night in Ucluelet

Posted Aug 2, 2017
Lovely suite, well appointed. Nice view of the bay. Enjoyed the whirlpool tub on balcony. Close to beaches and town. However, appeared to have no temperature control in either room; warm night, no air conditioning. Could only open balcony door for air. Pull out sofa was pretty uncomfortable. Not the greatest night sleep. But overall atmosphere was nice.

Hello Kay and thank you for choosing Waters Edge! Happy to hear you enjoyed your suite with the outdoor jetted tub... sounds like you were here when we had the heat wave! Our coastal village is normally kept cool by the Pacific Ocean, our natural air conditioner;) The temperature controls for the electric baseboard heaters are in each of the rooms in the suite... one in the living room, bedroom(s), bathroom(s).... The sofa beds are great for families with kids, did you consider the 2 bedroom suite? It also has 2 bathrooms and a little more space :) Thanks again Kay and we look forward to having you return for a longer visit... 1 night is never enough on the west coast! Great place to stay ... quiet and relaxing.

Posted Aug 1, 2017
Great stay with my family. Super quiet and perfect relaxing trip. Drank my coffee and wine on the deck while watching the boats come and go into the harbour.

The perfect spot

Posted Jul 16, 2017
We came to the area to hike and surf. We stayed in a 2 bedreem unit facing the water. It was spacious and comfortable, the view was amazing, and it was as quiet as can be. The full kitchen was great so we could have breakfast and some meals in the apartment.

A 15 minutes walk to restaurants and town and you need to drive to the beaches on the other side.

Peaceful setting with a warm welcome

Posted Jul 2, 2017
Pros: I loved the location, though if I'd had an apartment with the view blocked by trees, I don't think I would have been so happy.
Cons: Everything was fine - I can't think of any improvement.
Location: I walked a couple of the forest trails, went to Long Beach, visited the fantastic 'catch and release' aquarium', enjoyed the Sunday community market.
I stayed two nights at Water's Edge, in a lovely apartment overlooking the inlet. The mature fir trees to the left obscured the view, so I think I was lucky being in room 609. Staff gave me a great welcome, with full information about my stay. The room was well equipped for self catering, clean and comfortable. It was a short walk from the town centre, with boardwalks near the apartment complex. Ideal for me!

Thank you for the beautifully written review Krisp! Glad the suite was ideal and you submersed yourself in the local activities! There is so much to see and do here... Did you see any eagles in those trees? The eagles like the trees in front of building 6 and between 7&8, the kingfisher likes the trees by reception, and the heron likes the little river that forms at low tide in the flats by the marina ;) Thanks for choosing Waters Edge for your get away and we hope you make it back! Cheers from Ucluelet :)

Great resort (privacy) ... lousy bed

Posted Jul 2, 2017
Pros: The privacy is awesome (you are on your own little island with a single road access to the resort ...real quiet).
Cons: The bed is too short (I am 6'4"tall) and has a wooden frame that I kept hitting with ,y shins. The pillows need to be replaced with softer down fillef
Location: Location is excellent. Twisty single lane roads are often a challenge, especially this time of year with campers and tourists who can't drive !
Ucluelet is an awesome place to visit, hike, eat, and rest ... just make sure you get a resort with comfy beds.

Hello and thank you for your review! We do have a 2 bedroom Luxury suite with a King Bed, and there was a King Bed that just went in to a 1 bedroom deluxe suite. We are replacing some more mattresses and might be switching them to king beds as well, so it might be worth it to try us again? We do not have any down filled items so you may want to bring your favorite pillow with you ;) Thanks for choosing Waters Edge and hope to see you here again!
