Good place to stay

Posted Nov 1, 2016
Pros: Views over the river. clean rooms. breakfast was good. staff helpful. what more do you need.
Cons: a lounge / bar area would be good
The boat is a great place to be based, to explore Budapest.

nice overnighter on the river

Posted Sep 30, 2016 on Hotels
choose larger river side room and enjoy a twist to staying in wonderful Budapest. just remember this is a boat and not a hotel so room is not standard. if you have bags/cases then stairs can be difficult. it is a possibility to enjoy some quiet with nice sun deck with views over river and up towards castle. it can be isolated a little. if with car, paid parking available I'm front of boat. useful.

Lovely comfortable boat hotel on The Danube

Posted Sep 25, 2016
Pros: The location, being close enough to the city but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Also loved the experience of staying on the river.
Location: Location is only about a 20 min walk into the city. Plenty of restaurants and bars. Lots of interesting places to see in Buda and Pest.
Really enjoyed our 4 days here. Our room was bigger than expected and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was extremely good with lots of choice and as much as you wanted. Very quiet at night and such lovely views of the river. A 20 minute walk took you into Budapest, a beautiful city with lots to see and do. Would definitely recommend staying on The Fortuna Boat.

4 night stay September. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. 24hour reception. Basic but clean and tidy room, serviced each day. Basic bathroom facilities but adequate for our needs. Quiet area with good views. Quiet and comfortable stay with no issues. Close to Margaret Island and Parliament buildings. Cooked and continental breakfast available; limited choice if vegetarian. Would stay again and recommend to others. Value for money and a little different to a standard hotel.

Cons: Waitstaff! Seemed to go out of their way to be rude and inattentive. Hang up phone calls every morning.
Location: Easy walk to tram to ride to pedestrian district.
Do yourself a favor and shell out a little more to get a nice place. Room way ok. Breakfast was ok. Nothing overly special.

wifi wasn't great & they should surely look into this. Other than that, good facilities.
