The whole place needs an overhaul

Posted May 18, 2017
Pros: The staff was friendly. Internet was good.
Cons: It is obvious that this place has cut back to a minimum on just about everything from the breakfast to the one ply toilet paper.
Location: The location is next to the 101 freeway. I didn't use the pool but if you did all you would hear is the passing traffic.
The hallways and room have an offensive odor. Both need new carpeting. The staff uses the small lobby area for a gathering place. They were very loud and boisterous. So much so that it was difficult to hear the person behind the check in counter. The toilet in my room was so low to the floor that it was difficult to rise from the toilet seat. It was designed for small people. The bathroom fan mad a terribly racket. The bottom of the bathtub has nothing to secure your footing. I had to be careful in order to avoid the possibility of a slip and fall. The shower head was good though and the water was hot.

Nice hotel, deserving of a 2.5 star rating

Posted Apr 25, 2017
Pros: Like? It was ok. I have stayed in other Best Westerns that make this property look like a slightly upgraded Motel 6.
Cons: Better selection of TV channels would be nice. Higher quality toilet paper. But most importantly, the beds were as firm as cardboard- better beds!
Location: Ukiah, neat little hippie town. Watching homeless hippies staggering around stoned was awesome. Strongly suggest Crush for dinner.
Life changing? No. Better than a tent but not as good as home.

Noisy plumbing

Posted Feb 15, 2017 on Hotels
Average hotel. If the price is good, stay there. Only complaint: noisy plumbing. You can hear your neighbors' shower and sink. And the sink is not in the bathroom, it's in the entry area, not enclosed.

Convenient and comfortable

Posted Feb 10, 2017 on Hotels
Just needed a place to crash and wanted to try something different in Ukiah. The only glitch was the checkin clerk had no idea how to handle a Hotels.com reservation and she had to call her boss at 11:30pm when I arrived. So took a while to get my key. The hotel is nothing special to write home about, but it was clean and comfortable. It's probably one of the better places to stay in Ukiah. I prefer it over a couple other properties I've tried on previous trips. The breakfast was available bright and early too, which was good because I had to get an early start to my day.
