A couple of previous reviews had commented upon general cleanliness and we found a child’s toy under the dining table when we got there and an odd sock behind the sofa, suggesting the cleaning wasn’t particularly thorough. “Our shepherd hut in Pinewood was spotlessly clean and refreshed every day. Staff were always on hand if needed and really helpful at checkin (the process for checking in and out was seamless). Marshmallows, skewers, logs for the indoor and outdoor wood burners, and upmarket tea bags all complimentary; only let down by basic Nescafé coffee sachets and pots of UHT milk. A small fridge would be useful to allow for proper fresh milk and keeping drinks cool. Beds were comfy and the separated bunk……

“There was a slight mix up at the beginning of our trip - (The owners had not received confirmation of our booking until we arrived so they were not aware of any visitors enroute to them until we phoned when we were 5 minutes away!) However, the owners were extremely apologetic and very friendly and welcoming, they even gave us a bottle of prosecco for any inconvenience.
