Our stay was adequate for one night, central location, very dated bathroom , bath and shower need replacing.

The hotel was tatty and run down with worn carpets on the stairs and very creaky floors in the corridors. The doors and doorways looked as if they desperately needed a new coat of paint. On arrival in the room we were not impressed to find toe-nail clippings on the bedside table and unemptied bins in the toilet and a toilet brush entangled in old toilet paper. We had to wedge paper in the windows to stop them banging at night. Position of the hotel is good and conveniently close to the ferry terminal and it had pleasant views over the Loch Broom. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good enough

Good location close to ferry

Posted Oct 14, 2016
Pros: Location close to ferry and sea front. Superb music in lounge bar: very talented young man
Cons: The food. Dinner was extremely disappointing and expensive given the small choice and poor quality.
Food extremely poor. Parking problematic although large car park. Best part of the overnight stay was superb music from an accordion player.

NC500 stopover

Posted Oct 13, 2016
Pros: Good location, very good breakfast, friendly staff
Location: In middle of town, near shops and pubs. Handy location for the ferry to Stornoway
Room was basic but comfortable, beds very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, would return for that alone

Satisfactory for the price

Posted Oct 7, 2016
Location: Gorgeous setting, friendly people and great food.
The Caledonia is basic but clean and in a very convenient location. They seem to be working to update the rooms. Ours seemed to be newly painted. The staff was friendly, the lobby large and comfortable. Walls are thin but for the location and price, worth it for a short-term visit.

What can you say

Nice location, friendly helpful staff. Needs money spending on it to bring it to a decent standard. Squeaky floorboards galore, 2 broken kettles and just looks tired.

Close to Ferry Terminal

A bit old fashioned which suited most of the clientele. Not for me. Average breakie. Would've preferred to stay elsewhere if there was a suitable alternative.

Relaxing Break

Posted Sep 13, 2016
Pros: The breakfast
Cons: The outside of the Hotel is good but the inside is dated and needs tlc
Location: The Hotel is well placed for local sightseeing and a good base for seeing further a field
The Hotel was easy to get to in the centre of Ulapool, and parking to the rear of the hotel. Reception was a warm welcome, and my room was easy to find and was ok. The breakfast in the morning was superb it had something for everyone, and the staff were very helpful. The Hotel was a bit tired and dated and needed some money spent on it to bring it up to the 21st century.

Accueil très moyen. Hôtel très bruyant

L'accueil est très moyen et la vétusté de l'hôtel laisse à désirer. Trop cher pour la nuit
