Handy

Posted Feb 13, 2017
Pros: Space, speed, convenience.
Cons: Plenty, but only if it starts to pretend it's more than a motel.
Location: Nice walk into the village for a beer, food etc. Great places to eat and drink nearby in Ullapool, 15mins brisk walk along a lit footpath.
It's a motel; does what it says on the tin. Don't look for charm, local colour etc., but you can expect cleanliness, efficiency, convenience, friendliness. Bedroom walls a bit thin.

Good location, convenient motel.

Posted Dec 2, 2016 on Hotels
Room 12 was aice standard motel room with useful wardrobe space. Bathroom had fold-down seat in shower and fold-down arm beside the wc. Would be useful for those with balance issues, though not a full wetroom or enough space for a wheelchair. Not sure it was standard to all rooms. Onsite restaurant was a handy addition. Main drawback was lack of wifi in the room. It was broken and was fixed as hoped. If I'd known in advance I'd have stayed elsewhere. Travelling for business, the wifi connection wasn't important to me. While there was a good 3G signal, many things are born possible to do on a phone.

Internet does not work

Posted Nov 1, 2016
Pros: Breakfast was good.
Cons: Internet
Location: A bit further out of Ullapool than we thought.
Despite advertising wifi in every room, it does not work. Asked about it on arrival and one owner said it should be working. When it came to settling bill told the other owner it was still not working, and he said he knew there was a problem and it was not working. Shame there wa no transparency on arrival. Would have saved soending hours trying to get it to work.

A lovely motel in a beatiful town

Posted Oct 7, 2016
Pros: Located in a quiet area and has a decent restaurant and bar. Staffs are very kind. You can park your car in front of your room. Highly recommended.
Cons: Facilities are a bit old but clean and well-maintained. Not a problem.
Location: A road trip around northwest Highland.

Good service at decent basic hotel

Posted Sep 25, 2016 on Hotels
A fairly basic hotel but good helpful service helped make the most of the property. Plenty of free parking just outside the room. Very quiet. Room basic but does the job fine.

Ullapool has converted all to house the tourists

Posted Sep 22, 2016
Pros: see above
Cons: wifi strength
Location: conveniently located (5 minutes) to Ullapool city center car park
Funky little motel from the 50's --- incredible onsite restaurant, WC was all mod-cons, bed was great. But the WiFi was spotty -- we had to go into the lounge. Favorite hangout for dentists touring on their motorcycles, and greyhairs in slabsided minivans
