A nice place to relax
It was a nice hotel with a lovely pool and excellent swimming spots around the sea. We did have some discomfort as the aircon in the room wasn't cooling and the room was quite dated, but overall our goal was to relax and we certainly were able to. There were nice restaurants within walking distance (the buffet was a bit average so we only had dinner at the hotel once) and it was easy to get in and out with parking. The staff were helpful and the spaces nice and clean.

Definitely a huge disappointment. This is not a 5* property at all - rooms are in need of serious renovation, our bathroom was broken, lights in the room were broken as well. When we used the sockets next to the bed, it sounded like something was short-circuiting with the loud ticking noise. It was so loud that we couldn’t sleep. When we called reception to raise the concern, they said “we’re full, we don’t have ear plugs for you and we won’t send anyone to check”. So they basically ignored our complaint and never followed up with it. Food in the buffet was bland and quite bad, dinners were extremely disappointing. Luckily, we only stayed two nights in this terrible hotel

This is not a 5* hotel. The food was so average...when we ordered coffe in a hotel lobby they don't know to serve water with it....really 3* hotel.

Great for a few “down-days” of traveling.
The buffet breakfast & buffet dinner package was perfect. The nearby Tennis academy may be if interest. And the paved area just before the water area was unimpressive.

A really nice stay
The room was nice (no kettle facilities though, so spent £3 every time we wanted a cup of tea). The staff are lovely. It's so close to the sea. Sea/sunlounger area is good. We always managed to find a bed no matter what time of day we went. The food options were a large buffet selection (we were half board, so breakfast and dinner), a bar, a beach bar and a restaurant. A lot of options. Hardly any english-speaking guests, which was nice!

We stayed for 5 nights in the Melia Coral, Umag. The staff from the moment we arrived could not have been nicer or more helpful. The Hotel itself is beautiful with lovely designed interior and extremely clean room. The check in and out procedures are so efficient. Food was delicious but restaurant ‘s supervisor and all staff deserve special thanks. Overall a great place- we would definitely stay again.

The only disappointing thing about this hotel is that the restaurant is geared towards buffet and the al a crate Menu is very limited. The quality of food when you get it is from the buffet. If you want to watch sport on TV then forget it. No option except in the room.

Lovely adults only hotel. We had half board for 12 nights. The food was very good. The spa was wonderful, especially my facial with Jessica, and Yoga with Eva from Prague. Staff are brilliant, especially Suzi D., also Liliana, Mirte, and all the chefs and restaurant staff. Housekeeping were absolutely fabulous, the whole place is spotless. We would love to return, worth saving up for !

Seafront property with a beautiful outdoor pool and surrounding areas. Staff is very friendly. Spa area with the indoor pool deserves a compliment too. Overall very relaxing.

Amazing hotel, excellent place and lovely staff.
Really nice hotel, staff was lovely and friendly! They help us with any questions, we even got an upgrade to welcome us and they also let us check out at 12. The hotel is excellent and very elegant! It is next to the beach and has a lovely swimming pool (sea salt water) and an amazing spa! Rooms are spacious and very clean, lovely place! Totally recommend for couples and friends! Breakfast is a big buffet and dinner was also buffet (lovely food). We will come back for sure!

The hotel is lovely, staff really friendly amd helpful. We got an upgrade to the sea view and they let us check out at 12. Excellent beach to relax and swimming pool! Amazing spa and amenities, we got some treatments in the spa (all use of sauna and inside swimming pool included) robes, sleepers, toiletries- excellent customer service we could not be happier!!

Came for International tennis. Stayed last year at Sol Garden Istra , which was fine. This year we chose Amelia Coral and we're delighted. A little more expensive, but worth the price. Great breakfast and dinner. Beautiful upstarts dining. Saldana at front desk was very helpful and always went out of her way to accommodate our requests. I'm sorry I don't know the name of the woman cleaning my room for two weeks. She was always friendly and did an amazing job. Will stay there again on return.

Vacationing
I was doing a 4 day trip to 4 different countries and this was my last stop. This hotel was wonderful, I enjoyed everything about it. The location was great, the Adriatic Sea was such a wonderful thing to see. I did as much exploring as i could. The Staff was great and really warming, the room was spacious with a balcony ( i originally got a room with a "Oceanic View" but unfortunately was cheated out of it cause there were to many trees outside the whole backside of the hotel which was a bummer). The hotel seems to be just renovated, has a casino, pool, sauna, and the beach less then a minute walk away. Breakfast and dinner was great, you have a chef preparing everything in front of you. Dinner was wonderful such a broad variety of food, the staff doesn't bug you to much they are right there when you need them. The city is a 10 minute drive, its very little didn't really see much there (it some what reminded me of Mexico). Overall i enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it. Beware of the Jellyfish hahaha

Good Hotel with Friendly Service
We visited the Melia Coral for 7 nights at the end of April/beginning of May 2016. The most obvious point to make is that the hotel is adults only, which really does make a pleasant change for those who want to avoid screaming kids! The hotel itself is very well run and clean. Our room was very good and included a shower/bath, TV, telephone and room safe. The bed and other furnishings were of good quality. One point to note is that the 'sea side' rooms are just that - on the same side as the sea - they are not really 'sea view' rooms due to the amount of fir trees in the way (although you can 'glimpse' the sea). Free hotel wifi was available and was of a good speed (enough to allow a Skype video call). A minor disappointment was that the room didn't have tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel facilities were also good - we enjoyed the indoor pool, but whilst there was a good range of spa treatments on offer, we found them a tad pricey. The staff were all very pleasant, friendly and helpful, from the Reception Desk to the Restaurant. All of the staff we came across spoke English. One great aspect of the hotel is that they generally have some entertainment in the bar area at night including pianists playing background music and on another night there was a great jazz trio.

We only stayed for one night, and it was a rainy day. We were here in October so there wasn't many people around, and a lot of shops were closed for the season. The hotel was a very nice experience the staff were very friendly. The restaurant was excellent.

3 night stay in September
Stayed in the hotel for 3 nights, beautiful hotel, pool and shore area. It was very clean, comfortable and the breakfast and Al la carte menu food was very good. Lengthy walk into Umag however the tourist train is only 20kn and stops outside the hotel, taking 25mins to get into Umag centre.

A good deal at spring prices
Staff very pleasant but the food in the half board offering was bland and unimaginative. Also, the indoor pool is quite small and packed to the full on an early spring weekend when we stayed here. A nice 4 star hotel, but certainly not 5 starts as claimed.

Definitely not 5 star, can be noisy
The general standard of the hotel does not match the 5 star rating. Although facilities are OK, the hotel decor is tired beyond the flashy foyer. Rooms are quite dark and dingy - not enough light comes in. Quality of food at breakfast and buffet dinner is quite poor. Poor ingredients and do not expect tinned pineapples in a supposed 5 star hotel! Charge for use of spa facilities for hotel guests which was not the case in other 4 star places I stayed at in Croatia. At the time we stayed, German spring break was being hosted at apartments next door. It was very noisy all day until 5am. We had to move rooms to far side of hotel to be able to sleep!

Fantastic hotel
Location is great; hotel is next to a beach and close to very nice tracking path. Beach in very nice with available baldachins (though with a surcharge). Overall the hotel stay was very good and would recommend it, food was ok, though we expected more fresh see food. The only issue was when we arrived they allocated us to a very noisy room (outside disco bar played very loud music). We asked for a different quit room saying even a downgrade is fine as long as it is quiet because we wanted to rest. The allocated us to a different room, overlooking kitchen storage. We only noticed this at 6am when various grocery and garbage tracks started to come in and parked for delivery just below our window, and we only asked for a quiet room :). However, very nice older receptionist in the morning changed our room again and this time room was perfect.

5-star hotel wannabe
This seemed like one of the nicer hotels in Umag, but I would definitely not call it a 5-star hotel. It is situated 3km outside of Umag and is right next to an abandoned hotel/casino, which was a little bit odd. The room was well furnished and clean, however, and the breakfast was excellent. The pool and beach area is nice, but not 5-star. If you stay at this hotel, definitely try having dinner at More i Monte, just a short walk down the beach towards Umag. It was the best food we had in Croatia.

5 stars buffet dinner
This is an adult hotel but it didn't mention when we booked. Luckily, the hotel staff let my son stayed for 1 night after reporting to the management. We really thanks for their efforts. We really enjoyed the facilities of the hotel and my son liked it very much too. One thing we never expect is their buffet dinner is really worth for money. It is really 5 stars serving. After having the food here, we don't need to try outside restaurant as all zagreb's food you can find here.

Qualità’ cena scadente, come la merce che propongono, gli addetti ai lavori molto educati e disponibili, scarsa organizzazione nel procurare sdraio etc… le persone sopraindicate che spesso sono introvabili , le vendono ad estranei che non fanno parte dell’Hotel con il risultato che quasi tutti i gg la cosa non cambia. Persone che lasciano gli asciugamani dalla mattina occupano sempre lo stesso posto con la collaborazione anche degli addetti in piscina che pur di guadagnare qualcosa si vendono al miglior offerente senza tenere in considerazione che’ e’ il cliente la fonte di sostegno della stessa struttura. PS. Io proporrei di assegnare un numero indicativo eliminando tutte queste scorrettezze che tutti sanno che esiste e nessuno fa niente.
