Sold my room

Posted Jul 25, 2017
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
Location: location was perfect for where I needed to be.
I booked a room at least a week in advance, and when I arrived there to check in, my room was sold. come to find out it was a Isley Bros concert in town that weekend, but that doesn't justify selling the room that I booked for my family for a business trip. with that being said if I could give 0 stars I would.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Literally, everything.
Location: The location is scary for young women traveling by themselves. Beware of catcalling and heckling.
Upon arrival, I was met by Jameel after 10 minutes of waiting for him to get off of the phone. He kindly switched our hotel from non-smoking to smoking, since one of my friends on the trip smokes. Now granted we all know smoking rooms will never be as clean as non-smoking rooms there is NO excuse for how DESPICABLE this room was. Upon entering the room there were dirty towels on the ground, urine, and napkins still in the toilet, and ashtrays still filled with butts and ash. Now that is just the initial view of the room. After more time in the room, it became very apparent that it hadn't had a good cleaning in years with dusty ceilings and grimy walls. However, my girlfriends and I are in our twenties so we really paid no mind to it at first. It became very apparent that we were in a bad area quickly. We were heckled at by other customers of the hotel, and in our 5-minute walk to the nearby Steak n Shake were honked at and catcalled at least 6 times. But as my friends and I were only staying here one night we shrugged it off. It was not until we met a fellow woman who was staying at the hotel that we knew what exactly was going on there. A fellow customer at the Stay Express Inn told us about the bedbugs she had in her room. YUP, BEDBUGS! Everyone's number one fear of hotels. She continued to show us her welts/bites on her body. AND THE CHERRY ON TOP, she had a video of those bugs crawling around in the bed. She had actual evidence of this happening.

The uber driver taking us to the airport says it is a terrible location-full of drugs, fights etc. He was shocked we stayed there. He lives in the area and says the cops are there most nights.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

Posted Apr 9, 2017
Cons: This hotel needs a major overhaul and probably new ownership.
I booked this hotel room last-minute due to being stuck in Atlanta during the Delta flight-cancellation fiasco and not wanting to sleep in the airport. The entire hotel smelled like weed and pee, there was black mold above the shower, tile crumbling off the bathroom wall and rust on fixtures in the bathroom. The toilet ran all night. I woke at 1 a.m. to a disturbing fight, complete with screaming and furniture being slammed, in the room above mine, and it took the front desk about an hour after I called to even investigate. (They also came to my room and woke me up, thinking the noise was coming from me—even though I reported it.) The noise didn't subside until 5 a.m. when I believe the cops were finally called. The fight started up again at 9 a.m. The staff treated the situation very nonchalantly, even though I reported that a woman was screaming "Get off of me." There were times they didn't even answer the front desk phone. I woke to find someone's belongings and a pile of garbage on the roof outside my window. The "continental breakfast" was Fruit Loops, room-temperature milk, coffee and a few pastries. I would have been better off at the airport.

Won't do that again.

Everything nearer the airport was full due to massive cancellations by Delta. I got the next to last room, and because of that had to take a smoking room. Big mistake. I quite smoking over 30 years ago. Needless to say, it was not a pleasant night. In the end I would have preferred the carpet in the airport. At least there isn't the overriding odor of stale smoke.

Dear Ed: I regret to hear that the only room available to you was a smoking room. I'm certain that you would have been pleased with anyone of our non-smoking rooms. Thank you for staying with us.

Roach Hotel

Posted Mar 13, 2017 on Orbitz
The hotel staff was hospitable and welcoming, but the rooms weren't. It was old and run down, was greeted by a bed of roaches (literary crawling around), 2 cigarette butts in the window and a "prison-style" TV hanging from the ceiling. This hotel was horrible!!!!

Dear Amanda: I'm not certain that you were at our property. We are not aware of a roach problem, and all of our televisions are flat screens and are wall mounted.
