“We had a relaxing stay at the Blue Heron. They have a nice breakfast in a cute breakfast area. The dockside bar and restaurant was very good and convenient with excellent service. We also tried out the onsite steakhouse (T-bones), great food and drinks. One of the best things about our stay was the view from our balcony. We had an upper floor facing the lake. “I had a 3 night reservation with 3 people registered to the room. Pros: The location was convenient as it was only 15 minutes to the beach. Most of the staff was nice. Cinnamon rolls were the best part of breakfast. The blackout curtains were amazing. Cons: dirty socks in the bathroom, used tissue, and empty mini bottle of fireball under the bed. Towels were a huge issue. No towels in the pool area, only 2 in the room, housekeeping never came in even though I asked at the front desk and was……

“Enjoyed my stay. This was my second time to enjoy this unique hotel that is newly remodeled. Just a block from downtown and interesting shops. If you are interested in antique hunting, Buchanan is the place to go. The city commons where they have concerts on Thursday and Saturday nights is half a block away.”

“97 degrees outside. The A/C in my room did not work properly. Sweating all night as it would not cool my room. All I got at the front desk the next morning was, “Sorry.” Will find a different place to stay on my trip out west next summer! :(”
