Our check in was awesome with Michael and the rest of the staff were GREAT! I can’t rave enough of the staff. Our room was upgraded (nice)/able to chk early) however, there were broken glass and took the broken pieces to front desk. They were great about it and gave us a comp drinks at their bar. On our last Saturday i caught one of the broken glass in my toe and cleaned it up and didn’t say anything, but was encouraged to let the FD mgr know, reluctantly I did and Royce took VERY GOOD CARE OF US! I would definitely go back there again.

Adult swim hours for the pool don't work with kids. Both the morning hours and the evening hours were right when my kiddo wanted to swim - and we stayed at Nikko for the pool.

The service was fantastic all the way around, from the front desk, the Anzu Restaurant, lounge, concierge/bell staff and housekeeping staff. The breakfast quality and service was also fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and clean.

We stayed in a Club Level room. Luis, the attendant in the Club Level lounge was fabulous. He was very attentive without being intrusive. We enjoyed talking with him. The location in Union Square is convenient for shopping and access to good restaurants.

I booked from a 3rd party site which usually has great deals for this hotel but the weekend of my stay was a convention. This was our 2nd time here, the property and everything in it is one of the best I have stayed in downtown SF. It is an oasis among the hustle & bustle of downtown. The staff at valet, front desk, house keeping, ANZU & Feinstein are amazing! The food at ANZU is amazing from breakfast to dinner. Great bar staff & drinks at Feinstein. The bed at RM 1609 could use a change.. one side was too soft and leaned too much not as comfortable as the one I stayed the first time. Maybe the hotel can do something about that. The extra fees I could do without.. some not disclosed at time of reservation. The city & other taxes that are applied after your credit card is charged is a shock. Parking is $75 but knowing that my car is safely parked is an assurance I would pay for.. But there is nothing that can be done since tourism is important to any city. The hotel is walking distance from cable car, F Train, Muni & Bart. The rooms were a little more expensive due to a convention during our stay. I have yet to try the pool & sauna that I have heard so much about. Looking forward to my return at the NIKKO!

Hotel Nikko is a wonderful property. Friendly polite staff all around. Our junior suite was very spacious with lovely interior features and colours - very soothing. One and a half bathrooms, very comfy bed, city/water views. We would return to San Francisco simply to stay at Hotel Nikko. Anzu restaurant has a nice selection of unique cocktails - food was delicious. 5 stars in our book.

I will start off by saying it is the first time I am traveling to SF. I had no idea we have to pay for parking so the first introduction experience i had with the hotel is arriving to the valet, understanding from the worker, it is a $65 dollar tax parking for 24 hour valet meaning I can “come in and out as I wish” saying it to ease min the bomb that just landed on me but it didn’t. We stayed 3 nights and had to pay extra $225 dollars for parking not including tip that are being grabbed by workers and shoved Into their pocket so We will feel uncomfortable to ask for change. That’s a lone ruined the whole experience in the hotel. We paid you a night stay that is larger then many other options which are as good or even better then yours and probably can offer free parking. Why couldn’t you express this information in the “welcoming mail” or hotel options clearly so we would adjust to the “new price” ? It lives a bitter taste as if you try to squeeze more money. Secondly we approached the front desk to check in and the nice lady grabbed a printed paper for me with marked sentences anti bring to my attention that there is additional $39 charge per night for amenities. What 4.5 star hotel does that ? I have never in my life have stayed in any hotel anywhere in the world and paid charges for amenities even if I don’t use it. That is a robbery, you are squeezing more money from each guest to cover expenses or what ever and I think that destroy everything for me. stained sheet

When we got to the room it wasn’t super clean. The room was hot and they didn’t have a fan. Cleaning didn’t take place until 4:00 one day. It was an okay hotel but not 4 stars.

The room had adjustable heating and a great view of the city. I enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. There is a lot to this hotel. It’s pretty amazing when you look at it.

I accidentally booked the wrong date for my stay and didn’t notice until it was past the cancelation window. However, I still wanted to stay at the hotel, just one night later than the original booked date. Therefore, I wasn’t asking for a refund or for them to cancel anything but they refused and still charged me for a night I couldn’t use. To make things worse, they tried to say they were completely booked for the night in question, but a simple search found that to be nothing more than a lie. They care more about sticking to their “policies” than they do good customer service. They could have easily accommodated my request (despite it being my mistake) at zero cost to them, but refused to. Therefore, I will never stay there again and will make sure everybody I know steers clear as well.
