Good location, but dirty bathroom

The first thing I check when I go to a hotel is the bathroom. The room was fine overall, but the bathroom was another story. The tub’s floor was stained from how old it appears to already be, and then there were 2 strands of hair on the bathroom wall, which to me meant they are not cleaned well enough. I was only in this hotel for one night, so the next day when I checked out I informed the front desk. All the lady did was say sorry I had seen that and then simply proceeded to charge me the $16 for self parking (which wasn’t stated before i checked in). Therefore, I payed a total of $167 for one night and couldn’t even shower properly.

We will discuss this with our housekeeping team and make sure they are aware and also review with our front desk. Our hotel does charge for parking, as do many area hotels. This is disclosed within our marketing material and online presence and our front desk is also to note this upon arrival when confirming if you have a car. We will discuss this with our front desk team. We do hope you'll visit with us again. Our hotel will be completing a full renovation and it will be absolutely gorgeous.

Poor room condition

Pros: Friendly Front desk and Concierge staff.
Cons: Maintenance and housekeeping staff abilities to do their job.
Location: Close to Universal studios with shuttle services offered.
Front desk and Concierge did great job. Maintenance staff had a 1 foot by 1 foot hole in the wall under the bathroom sink with multiple towels stuffed in it, the bathroom door would not latch, drywall in sleeping area was water damaged and falling apart. Housekeeping had to be asked for coffee supplies. Bathroom walls had drip marks down them from not being wiped down. Ran out of tissue. Coffee maker was terrible.

Thank you for your comments and please accept my apologies for the less than expected accommodations and maintenance. This is certainly not up to our normal standards and we regularly receive much higher marks for both the Housekeeping and Maintenance departments. Your comments are very much appreciated as they allow us to address these deficiencies and take the appropriate steps to prevent recurrence. I do hope you give us another opportunity to be your host when travels bring you back to Orlando. In that way we can prove to you this past experience was the exception to our normal service delivery. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.

two night stay

Pros: location was near Universal Studios and many places to eat.
Cons: Very thin walls, the people next door to us were fighting all night and we heard every word. Overall hotel is outdated.
Location: minutes away from Orlando's major theme parks.
We picked this hotel because we had previously stayed with the chain in the past and it was a nice experience. This hotel seemed a bit dated and the check in staff was not friendly.

I hope you contacted the front desk. Once we're made aware we will intervene and resolve the issue. You may have also noticed we are going through a renovation. The entire property is being renovated and the rooms will be better than new when done. I do hope you'll visit with us and enjoy them.

Worst hotel stay ever

Will never stay here again. Staff does not care about guests. You cannot start renovations first thing in the morning before guests wake up. There was not enough parking which we were charged extra for per night.

Bad experience

Book the room as King Sized Bed and much to my surprise ended up with double beds. The staff ate the "Check-in desk" we're rude, disrespectful and unaccomodatiing had a real ATTITUDE. NOT SURE I WOULD EVER BOOK at Crowne Plaza ever again..

Our only complaint about the hotel is that when we called we were told there was a shuttle to convention center, but that was not the case. Otherwise we would recommend it and stay again.

Weekend getaway

Pros: The Staff
Cons: Parking prices and more shuttle times to Universal
Loved how nice and willing the hotel staff was to help make our experience even better. Good location in walking distance to attractions. Parking is a little too expensive 16$ for self and 23 for valet. If you do valet you get 2 for 1 coupons for the indoor and tiki bar so we thought it would be worth it but we ended up not using them because you can only get a very few select drinks. Overall it was a nice hotel and again the staff really went out of their way to make sure we had a nice stay.

Old rooms

Had an initial room that was dirty, smelled like cigarettes, and the layout of the room was very uncomfortable. The bed was very small too. It looked like a cheap motel. Called the manager and he was so nice and fixed this by moving me to a better room (with an extra charge, of course). I was happy with the way he fixed it. Bad news was that the new room had a clicking sound behind a wall that didn’t let us sleep well.

Best bang for your buck!

We just stayed there for the weekend to visit Halloween Horror Nights, and found the hotel very conveniently located to Universal. Between an Uber and a taxi we were able to enjoy ourselves much more at Universal and spent a fraction but we would have pay for parking at Universal. Are Uber and Taxi for $8 each way. Ask for the hotel itself the finishes and amenities were nice, the staff was excellent, only two improvements we would suggest are so minor. Our ice machine on our floor was out of service, and the overall attention to detail could be improved. Thank you again to everyone at the hotel for making our stay a pleasant one. We will definitely be back!
