Worth it for the short walk to universal studios

Pros: Big room, decent beds. Pool was opened til 11.
Cons: Bathroom was suped small compired to room...elevators were half down the whole time.
Location: Down the street from Universal Studios nd a short drive from Disney.
Nice staff, decent sized rooms (though they could've used more for the tiny bathroom). Would have been nice if the elevators werent half down, but luckily there was always one working. Pool was opened til 11 which was awesome! Would definitely use this hotel again!

Close to universal park if you want to walk.

The hotel is nice and clean with a useable pool. Very convenient to universal park. However. ...the attached restaurant "TGIF" dims ever giving this hotel more than three out of five stars. The worst service in the history of dining in...managing and owning restaurants we have ever experienced. Because we were often forced to eat there because of time it was a huge problem each time. I casually brought the lack of any service and poor efforts to the manager who simply could NOT care any less. Unacceptable on many levels. Hotel could stand to consider another food tenant at its earliest convenience.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL

Pros: Nothing. It was a room.
Cons: EVERYTHING. See above comments.
Location: Location is good. Right across the street from Universal. Just a couple of miles from tons of restaurants and shopping. That's the only good thing.
Hair from previous guest and dirt on bathroom floor. Deadbolt broken. Pool closed. Staff didn't clean the room until requested to do so. Wash cloth had gray stained hand print. Raised these concerns with front desk. Was told all issues would be resolved. Took 2 days to get room cleaned. Deadbolt was not fixed. Was told upon checking out we had the option of using the pool at the adjacent hotel. Why weren't we told that upon check in? Complained to IHG (Holiday Inn). They responded by offering me 5,000 reward points. That's the equivalent of $40. Not even enough to book 1 night. I would NEVER book at this hotel again. I've stayed with Holiday Inn at other locations and have not experienced this issue. I'm disappointed in the hotel and extremely disappointed in their response to me.

Great hotel close to universal. Pleasant staff who accommodated our early arrival by letting us check in a little early. Will be staying here again in the future.

Nice hotel

This is a very nice and affordable hotel that is within walking distance to Universal Studios. It only took us about 12 minutes to walk there from the hotel. Also the room was very nice and clean. It had very comfortable beds as well.

Good location, but needs updating

Pros: Location
Cons: Musty halls and room. Should offer a free breakfast like the other area hotels.
The hotels main draw is that it is close to Universal Studios. The room was ok and clean, but a bit musty. The halls have no ventilation and are musty and dimly lit. It makes the hotel uninviting. No free breakfast is offered like many area hotels either. TGI Fridays is attached and offers a $12.99 breakfast buffet, but who is going to pay that? Also, our tv remote only had about half the buttons working and the tv is an older version of a flat screen. Overall it's a good location but for the price consider the other nearby hotels.
