Close to universal, $6 uber ride if you miss the scheduled transport ( 8:30 am Friday). Clean, but beds were hard, in my opinion. My sister got stuck in the elevator, but staffed worked quickly. Whole staff attentive and polite. Breakfast buffet clean, loved seeing people had gloves on handling food and being aware of guests not using tongs to reach food. I'm a germaphobe so this impressed me. Got a great deal on Expedia, under a hundred, definitely worth it for this price. Free parking. Would stay again!

Stay due to hurricane Irma

Our stay in this hotel was due to hurricane Irma. We evacuated from our home in South Florida and booked a couple of nights there. The hotel is not luxurious but is comfortable, beds are good, you can find several details that must to be fixed (our window leaked during the hurricane, but okay, it was a hurricane!; some stairs doors were a little hard to open and other minor things) but the stay was pleasant. Nice shower with enough volume too. Fortunately the area did not lose power, that was a marvelous thing because the hotel has not a generator. But the best of all is the personnel who work there. Even in that difficult time, when a lot of people (and their dogs and cats) are stuck inside a property without having much to do, every employee was super helpful and understanding. Every one of them worked the extra mile to make us feel great. Management must be doing the right thing. Very glad we choose this place.

Excellent during state crisis

This hotel accepted me when I evacuated for the hurricane irma that was going to hit. I arrived at 4am due to mass exodus and I received my room with my 2 pets. Thank you for being good host. I will stay here again even when no hurricane is present.

Great for the price

This was one of the nicest La Quintas that I've stayed at! I booked last minute due to hurricane Irma since I live in South Florida. The hotel was PACKED and booked solid with other Miami residents looking to flee, but the staff was amazing and friendly regardless. The room was beautiful and clean. One portion of the building was under construction and you can tell that the rooms were recently renovated. There was also more than enough food in the morning for breakfast despite the big crowd. 10/10!

Ants i think they where ants

The place needs some updates not the best for $70+ I expected little better should of stayed in a motel. Woke up to tons on ants in our night stand we didn't have food yikes. I honestly hope that they where ants. Not staying at that location ever again hope they clean it up.

It was a nice hotel for the price. I feel the overall hotel service was great but the rooms need some updating.

was great

Pros: The cleanliness of my room. The comfort and decor of it. The shuttle to Orlando and buy my tickets directly to the hotel.
Cons: The lady who took care of the buffet has a disagreeable attitude. The cleanliness of the pool.
Location: Perfect location
The downside was the buffet waiter in the morning. This one was controlling and unpleasant. However, the front desk staff was friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed the shuttle to Orlando and the opportunity to buy our tickets directly at the hotel.

Clean & Nice!

Pros: Inexpensive yet classy
Location: Right across the street from Universal. Not a bad walk if you don't want to pay for parking at the park.
The rooms are very nice, with high ceilings and great decor. It feels like a way more expensive room than what you actually pay. I used to stay at Cabana Bay a lot, but this is more economical, and equally as nice, and the parks are super close. Free parking is a bonus!

Noisy Neighbors Heard Through Paper Thin Walls

Pros: The evening staff were super gracious and did everything they could to help alleviate the noise.
Cons: ADD INSULATION TO THE WALLS!! And install thicker doors between rooms. The breakfast was sad and bland, so maybe work on that too.
My husband and I stayed one night in the new building. Here is what we experienced: Room Comfort and Cleanliness: 1. Dead cockroach 2. Uncomfortably hard pillows that screwed up my husband's neck. It's been two days and he's still not recovered. Noise: 1. Noisy, obnoxious neighbors that left the room with the TV blaring. The staff had to cut the power to the room to turn the TV off. 2. The same noisy, obnoxious neighbors came back to the hotel at 2:30am and proceeded to yell, laugh, and have a whole profanity laden argument on when one of them should have a bowel movement. 3. Same noisy, obnoxious neighbors woke up at 6:30am and decided that was a great time to turn on the TV and continue their conversations from the night before. While we fully realize that loud, inconsiderate hotel guests are beyond the hotel's control, the wall between the rooms are so paper thin we could hear it when the person in other room coughed. Even if they had not been overly noisy, we would still be able to hear them. As I understood it, this part of the hotel was a new building. Perhaps it would be in the hotel's best interest to spend a bit more on insulation and thicker walls. We didn't care about the new decor since our stay was irreparably ruined by noise.

This hotel was great. Extremely clean, the room was beautiful, and we loved the breakfast. After getting a couple bad hotels on our trip this was a welcome break and we enjoyed it thoroughly.
