Super close to universal but that’s it

Super close to Universal Studios but that’s it. Very old , worn out beds. Saw several little roaches in the bathtub. Something made my allergies flare up awful every time we came back to the room. They cleaned up the room each day but missing towels and washcloths so not everyone had a clean towel after showering. Wouldn’t come back. Oh, and the continental breakfast was AWFUL. Plan on sticking to a bowl of cereal and yogurt. The eggs and sausage cannot possibly be real food.

Proximity to Universal its only good point

Cons: Tear it down and start fresh
Location: Its Orlando, please....what isnt there to do? Universal, Disney, Sea World all close
First night there toilet backs up. Called office 3 times and no answer. Go to office and TWO employees sitting there with thumbs up their noses not answering phones. Maint guys and housekeeping advised of overflow, toilet repaired but towels that were used to clean up water were left on floor, bathroom never cleaned. Girl at desk boo hooed that she was new and did not know what to do!!! We often stay at La Quinta in Kingsland Georgia and love it.....do your self a favor and do not book or even consider staying here!!!!! Letter of complaint being sent to home office asap!!! Do not stay here...you have been warned

Decent hotel close to Universal

This hotel is currently undergoing some major renovations but the hotel staff is very accommodating. Our only real complaint is the thin walls - we stayed on the second floor in the new building and definitely would not recommend it. We could hear everything from the floor above us - sounded like people running down the halls at all hours. Other than that, the room was clean, the beds were okay. Shower didn't have the best pressure but the bathroom was a nice size. The room always felt damp/musty but I think that's just Florida humidity so keep your thermostat low when you leave the room so it's not sticky when you get back. The complimentary breakfast was better than expected - included eggs and sausage as well as bagels and fruit etc. Don't rely on the shuttle to/from Universal - there's only 1 pickup & drop off time offered and they aren't in sync with park hours. We opted to take an Uber to the park for less than $7 and actually walked back to the hotel in the evening when it was cooler out (the walk is only 1.2 miles and has sidewalks the whole way). Overall would stay again. Except not on the second floor!

Nice clean hotel very close to universal

Room was excellent. Only negative is the key cards deactivate anytime you go through security screenings and metal detectors at parks. But hotel was very close to universal property and overall very good.

Pros: Cleanliness & closeness to Universal Studios.
Cons: Breakfast.
Location: We went to Universal Studios & did the Victory Cruise.
Very satisfied with my stay. Room rates were good and the staff very nice,

Close to universal, $6 uber ride if you miss the scheduled transport ( 8:30 am Friday). Clean, but beds were hard, in my opinion. My sister got stuck in the elevator, but staffed worked quickly. Whole staff attentive and polite. Breakfast buffet clean, loved seeing people had gloves on handling food and being aware of guests not using tongs to reach food. I'm a germaphobe so this impressed me. Got a great deal on Expedia, under a hundred, definitely worth it for this price. Free parking. Would stay again!

Stay due to hurricane Irma

Our stay in this hotel was due to hurricane Irma. We evacuated from our home in South Florida and booked a couple of nights there. The hotel is not luxurious but is comfortable, beds are good, you can find several details that must to be fixed (our window leaked during the hurricane, but okay, it was a hurricane!; some stairs doors were a little hard to open and other minor things) but the stay was pleasant. Nice shower with enough volume too. Fortunately the area did not lose power, that was a marvelous thing because the hotel has not a generator. But the best of all is the personnel who work there. Even in that difficult time, when a lot of people (and their dogs and cats) are stuck inside a property without having much to do, every employee was super helpful and understanding. Every one of them worked the extra mile to make us feel great. Management must be doing the right thing. Very glad we choose this place.

Excellent during state crisis

This hotel accepted me when I evacuated for the hurricane irma that was going to hit. I arrived at 4am due to mass exodus and I received my room with my 2 pets. Thank you for being good host. I will stay here again even when no hurricane is present.
