The hotel was easy to find, clean and check in was super easy. The staff were friendly and answered all of our questions. Perfect place to stay while viewing a show at the Waterfront. We had no issue getting transportation to and from the concert.
I loved all the personal touches at the Black Bear Inn: the wine reception each evening, the slips of 'positive thoughts' you could select from the basket, the water and crackers in the room etc.
Location easy to find. It was quiet yet close to shopping and restaurants. Balcony had a grat view of the river.
Hard to judge as it was just an overnight stay but staff if friendly and a clean room. Breakfast was good not great only because it is the typical serve yourself type. Decent variety to choose from to eat. A lot of stores and eating places. I’d recommend.
Very clean . The service was friendly and nice. We weren't a fan of the shower. The water pressure was not very good, but we have stayed here at different times and the water pressure seemed fine. Could have been a fluke or maybe there were many others taking a shower at the same time. Not sure.
We had a nice stay here. Everything was clean and updated. The pool was clean and a good size, the deck wasn't slippery due to its texture, and the hot tub was a good size and temperature. Staff were friendly, and cookies and ice water in the lobby were a nice touch. Breakfast was decent. Dishes ...
The front desk was very nice and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. The only downside was the lack of refrigerator and microwave, which was inconvenient.
Location sucks but rooms are nice. Restayrant has weird hours.
We can learn a lot from University of Maine.
You'll find it in Bangor, a city that is frequented by travelers from far and wide.
Time is precious, and that's why some visitors stay around the action. There are 2 to choose from. The Black Bear Inn Conference Center & Suites and University Inn Academic Suites are located within 2 miles of University of Maine.
For those looking to save a few pennies, there are a couple of low-cost accommodations in the area. The Quality Inn at Bangor Mall and the Country Inn at The Mall are ones to take note of.
Before venturing to University of Maine, stop for a quick treat at Oakes Room Cafe. This nearby coffee shop is a wonderful place to grab a quick pick-me-up. Tourists needing a more nourishing dining experience can chow down at OHOP Orono House of Pizza, a dining spot that's also close. Do you have the next round? Let the liquor flow at FPI Inc.
