Nothing special - definitely not a 4-star hotel

Posted Aug 3, 2017
Pros: Clean
Cons: Most of the aspects
Location: Not bad, nothing special
Some Staff were inpolite and one locked the door and left us outside at midnight for almost a quarter because he could not hear as knocking (listening to music!)

Good location, within minutes walk to the old town

Very helpful staff. Hassle free stay. Building itself is dated and needs upgrading.

Good for what it was

breakfast was good, rooms were clean, secluded but not too far from the old town, i was able to walk everywhere with ease even though at night it seemed a little sketchy

Nice cheap hotel...room fine, service good...only drawback is the area is not the nicest (although only a 10 min walk from centre)

Cheap hotel, good location, bad neighbourhood

Posted Jun 21, 2016
Pros: Location is not bad, it's close to the good part of the old town. The staff are helpful. The aircon worked.
Cons: Breakfast is in dire need of improvement, quality and range. Wifi should work in the rooms, but didn't. The immediate area needs to be improved.
Location: In this part of the old town shops and restaurants are mostly closed down. It is very run down and dilapidated. Some might find it scary.
The hotel is in a run-down part of the old town, about half a kilometre from the nicer parts of the old town which has restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. There aren't any restaurants or shops in the immediate vicinity. The hotel itself is adequate. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. The room I stayed in (a single room) was a good size and comfortable, but basic. The cleaner's black hair was noticeable on the bathroom floor every day, but she mostly did a good job. Breakfast, both the quality and the range, was poor. I was there for 3 nights and it was the same bread and ham every day. The wifi doesn't work in the rooms, only the reception, which is annoying. Overall this is a slightly above average hotel, certainly not what I was expecting from a 4 star hotel. A bit disappointing.
