Great location for touring the city on foot

Very nice hotel in the heart of the business area

Pros: The management of the hotel , the architecture and the interior decor and the food
Cons: everything is good
Location: i could not move around the hotel because i fall down and escorted to the hospital
It is the first in my life that i meet this kind of management . all the personnel were very human ,helpful ,I fall down in Bucharest and broke my knee and entered into hospital for surgery . management of the hotel send three employees who took care and one of them stayed with me in the hotel till i left the hospital and then prepared all facilities to go to the airport and return back to Beirut Lebanon , i will never forget Mr Aurel Dragpescu and Mrs Anca Strugariu and Mrs Miora Ghenu . they are very professional as Hotel personnel and they have great sense of humanity and gave me all the moral support, they let me feel as if i am between my family . I thank every person of the management of the hotel and say to Aurel Dragpescu and Mrs Anca Strugariu and Mrs Miora Ghenu I love you and will come back to meet with you

Elegant hotel right in the centre of the city

Cons: The wash basin in the bathroom was modern design and not a basin so any washing had to be done under running water.
I was only in town for one night and the hotel was perfect for me except that the Balkan Bistro was closed I was unable to experience local food in the evening.

Grand-looking -- Not comfortable

Pros: The building is amazing
Cons: Better receptionists. Education on greetings, social skills, promptness. The manager was good, but the face of the hotel is really the receptionist.
Location: Great location in the epicenter of town. Unbeatable. Go to the nearby Art Museum, Aman Museum (small but fantastic), Atheneum concerts, etc.
Stayed 3 nights alone in a nice looking large suite. The double beds are VERY narrow even for a thin person, the pillows are small and flat, and the beds are very noisy and squeaky. Every time you turn at night the noise will wake you up (if you don't already fall on the floor). My sleep was disrupted and I did not like the receptionists. No greeting, poor social skills, and a long wait for basic services.

Fabulous building with mediocre staff

Pros: location building facilities spa
Cons: valet, bell boy front desk staffing wait staff
Location: Atheneum classical concerts, Art Museum, great shopping, great restaurants all in walking distance
We had two suites for three nights and enjoyed the beautiful historic building, excellent furnishings and great location. The Continental Hotel chain however does a poor job with staffing, and the personnel are far below the standard for Romanian hotels of this caliber. Marginal English skills, disinterested service, no valet or bell boy, and minimal training in tending to tables. They mean well but don't know how to behave properly, how to pour a drink, how to serve and remove plates, and so forth. Overall it is an amateur dining experience if you eat there. We also had the misfortune of a vulgar wedding on our first night, and they blasted bad music until 1 am (even against the local hotel regulations). Lovely building, amazing locations.... if you can ignore the employees.
