The main areas of the hotel have had a renovation the rooms have not. The hotel was full the night we checked in and we had to wait in a line backed up all the way to the doors. 20 minutes later we were checked in and told a of surprise city tax (3€ per person per night) not included in our rate. Apparently it provides access to city promotions via a card that was not given to us. Our twin room was not made up as a double bed. The mattresses need to be replaced they had two options the pit or the hill either way you were uncomfortable and at risk of rolling of the bed in your sleep. The pillows were comically flat. Like your head felt lower than your body flat. We requested extra pillows after the first night. There were bleach stains on the carpet. Shower head was installed on the wrong side of the shower so using tge shower resulted in flooding the bathroom. For the price point I was disappointed in the quality of the rooms and lack of customer service from the front desk. We had to request the city card on day two. Luggage storage is just the corner of the lobby no security at all. Breakfast was fine. My suggestion- stay somewhere else.

Great Stay!
Very nice hotel with friendly front desk clerk. My only complaint was that my pillow was very flat and uncomfortable. The hotel is in a very nice area with lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic!

The parking garage in the basement is unusable unless you have a tiny tiny car. Completely unacceptable. The fitness center has the latest equipment and the sauna area is new, clean and magnificent.

This hotel was everything our family needed for our stay in Garmisch. The rooms are plenty spacious, good beds, nice bar and great breakfast. Great Greek restaurant right around the corner too!

Modern hotel with comfortable room and excellent breakfast. Really appreciate that they have a parking garage. Although most of our holiday was spent outdoors, we were impressed by the gym. It was summer, so it got a little warm. Would have been even better if there was a fan in the room.

Great location, room and staff. The only suggestion is that it was so hot outside and there was no a/c---the rooms should have had fans. Simple and eco-friendly.

It was OK
Employees at the reception desk weren’t very friendly at all. On top of just not being friendly, they tried to charge me tourist tax (it was a business trip) and hotel parking ( which I didn’t use). The hotel garage is horrendous - very few spaces and so tight anything bigger than a clown car won’t fit. It is located right by several good restaurants and lots to see within walking distance. Overall, it was OK, I’ll only stay again if there’s nothing else available.

A good hotel
Generally good hotel. Location and breakfast good. Lobby and bar very smart but rooms a little bit more dated but still in good condition. Lack of Air-conditioned meant rooms were warm and not many options to cool. However this is same for all the hotels in the area so not really a big negative. Very convenient for the station.

Great stay
Hotel is close to train station. Room was clean and quiet. I would have preferred a firmer pillow but that is my personal choice. A buffet style breakfast is served each morning. Hotel is about 5.minute walk to ski bus stop. Perfect for our ski break.

Dog was happy too!
We took our dog Scout with us and felt very comfortable. He is very well trained but happy to see a room with hardwood floors because I am sure other people who have dogs have used that room.

We loved our stay at Hotel Konigshof in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It was easy to walk to restaurants and other shops and very convenient to get to. Our room was spacious and clean with a really pretty view from the balcony.

Great place to stay in Garmisch
The staff was amazing. From accommodating an early check in to holding on to our bags after checkout allowing us a few more hours of sightseeing before catching a train back to Munich late in the day, they accommodated our every need. Good food in the restaurant and a nice bar in the hotel as well as being close to the main train, bus and access to the ski areas make this a great spot to stage a vacation stay in Garmisch from.

Hotel is very nice and is in a good location. It's a 10-15 minute walk to downtown. The train station is across the street. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We had a sofa to sit to watch TV. The only English speaking TV station was CNN. Rooms were quiet except for first night when the parties came in at 0300. I liked that we could control the room temperature to suit us. We ate in the restaurant the second night if our stay and I had to send my fish back because it was too salty. There was so much salt it literally burned my tongue. My husband had a piece of glass in his glass of wine. The server apologized profusely and brought us each a traditional dessert. He did his best to make up for the issues. I would stay here again. The price is good and they have a parking garage.
