Excellent choice

Posted Sep 18, 2017
Visiting New York for a week, and the Marmara was an excellent choice for the area we needed to be in. The one-bedroom apartment was spacious, and it was excellent to have our own washer and drier to keep on top of the laundry. The Q line stop is right beside the hotel, making getting about easy and affordable. The are convenience stores all within a 5 minute walk of the hotel, restaurants etc.

Big, bright rooms

Posted Sep 6, 2017
Pros: Large rooms, lots of windows
Cons: kitchen was a bit worn
We really enjoyed staying in this hotel. We were upgraded to a larger room which was very spacious and had a large balcony. The room was full of large windows and everything is white making it bright. The location at the last stop on the Q line was convenient. Plenty of restaurants and groceries nearby. Staff was helpful. The bathrooms were clean and fairly up to date. Kitchen was worn but well stocked. Room was overall a bit worn but met our needs perfectly.

Remarkably spacious; relatively inexpensive 4 NYC

Posted Aug 18, 2017
Pros: Spacious, tastefully appointed suites, clean and comfortable.
Cons: Personally I'd prefer fragrance-free cleaning, even as the products MM uses aren't as bad as most.
Location: Conveniently located next to the new Q line, near delightful Carl Schurz Park & Gracie Mansion, down hill from Met Museum & Central Park.
I booked the studio, and was graciously upgraded to a small one bedroom suite that was quiet, spacious even for the smaller 1 bedroom, clean and comfortable. I got a good night's sleep and enjoyed the view while making breakfast in the lightly stocked but adequate kitchen.

Photos online are not what hotel looks like

Service from staff was excellent. Rooms were old and worn. It needs an update for sure. Noisy staying on corner of 2 streets. I also didn't know that it allows pets otherwise I wouldn't have stayed there. I felt it was worn and a Lil dirty.

Convenient and clean.

Pluses: Convenient location at the end of the new Q line. Family was very comfortable. Clean apartment. Staff was very pleasant, considerate, and responsive. Close to museums on 5th Avenue. Some good restaurants in the area. Needs some work: Older interiors need some attention. Missing some in room items such as dining room chairs and some kitchen utensils, but staff provided them when asked.

Generally Good..Rate 7 out of 10. Would prefer the lift door to be lighter color like off-white, etc instead of red.

Very good serviced apartment.

Fantastic, room, view and location. To me the only draw back was, this family room's 2 bed was Sofa made to bed, was very uncomfortable. It was not suitable for grown up kids. Also being next to main road, most nights we will hear a fire engine/ambulance sound in the night. But the location and room size was fantastic. We were able to have a simple dinner made by ourself. So even if we eat lunch out we always came back to cook a simple dinner. A grocery shop is just near by. Everyday we had room service as well.

Old and tired facility. Make sure you have a high floor room and not the basic studio. Basic studios are noisy and look like hospital ER with bare walls and not even a single picture on the wall.
