The room had a smell similar to a urinal. We could hear the noise of people next door and above us late night. The blankets on the beds were very thin.

This an almost quaint late '60s or early 70s motor lodge that has been well kept up and modernized to a certain level (example: tub has been converted into a walk-in shower), "marble" countertops. The beds are okay, but mattresses need to be replaced soon. A relatively inexpensive deal with a mattress company like Allswell would give years of excellent support for customers. Just a minimal breakfast (pastry, muffins, cereal, fruit) is provided.

Bed made squeky sounds when we moved so not very comfortable. Breakfast was quite basic - nothing hot, just packaged items. Room was neat, clean. Property was decent for last min economic, overnight stay.

Sandpiper Lodge was the second worst hotel I have stayed at. Staff was helpful but otherwise it was really a bad place to stay. The breakfast was not as advertised and was literally just options of packed sugar. Area was also very dirty with wrappers and beer bottles in the front bushes on our way to our room. It was also noises and I was up late and early due to everything from parents screaming at their kids, people partying, people throwing up, large crews of workers taking off in the morning… didn’t get a good nights sleep except the two days we went to Universal City. I would not recommend this place if you are traveling as a family or a woman alone.

Room was larger than expected, nice surprise. Room was clean. Breakfast was nice, woman in the breakfast room very courteous and professional. Gentleman at check-in was not. It was a very disappointing first impression. Gentleman at check-out was friendly and professional.

A woman had to be narcaned right as my daughters and I were checking in. The room next to us was having a party all night and multiple guests knocked on our door to get into their room in the middle of the night.

I was in a room that faced the elevator and stairs so I couldn’t open the 1 window that would let in natural light. That made me feel like I was in a dungeon. Other than that, it was good.

The pool was open you get breakfast in the morning their customer service was great. They come and bring you towels when you need them and give you more trash bags and this trash cans nearby

Only issue was finding parking because there was alot of contractors trucks that took two parking spaces if they had a section. Only for them I think there would be enough parking

We stayed for 2 nights and it was nice enough. The location was good with plenty of restaurants nearby. The room was clean, not as nice as the pictures but not bad.

Overall everything was good just the bathroom shower needed attention. Sometimes the hot water won’t come out or it will be to hot. However we made it and was a quiet area no one bothered us and easy walk for restaurant options

Overall, very good stay. Clean room, professional staff, quiet and safe. Driveway very tight to navigate and parking lot was almost completely full for my late check in. I would stay there again.

Walls were so thin you could hear couples talking on either side of your room. Noisy children laughing and screaming in the pool until 10 PM at night. Maintenance crew talking loudly outside my door all day long.

Ice machine was broken down for 4 days. Had trouble getting it fixed. Room was clean and staff was excellent. There were no gluten free options or dairy free options for breakfast. Only a banana.

The stay was comfortable. A decent place to stay for the price. The breakfast was not as expected, cold cereal, coffee was warm, not hot, not a lot option except for cereal. oatmeal and pastries. I was not told you use your key to unlock the lounge.

The room was fine, tidy and had a microwave and mini frig. The alcove where the ice and vending machine is was so dirty, really unwelcoming. Pool and spa area was dated, room was dated, the whole place could use so TLC. It rained pretty heavily overnight and the second floor walkway that leads to the breakfast room holds water so we had to walk through all the ponding water on the tile which felt unsafe (they did have signs). Staff could have easily swept the puddles to the drain but didn’t. The breakfast was all CARBS, they could benefit from adding hard boiled eggs for at least one protein. They did offer juices, coffee, cereals, oatmeal and pastries. Overall it seemed that the staff weren’t accountable to keep the property safe and clean. The registration staff charged a 50.00 deposit, which I haven’t seen happen for many years. Maybe they’ve had trouble with their guests making the deposit necessary. On the positive, there are quite a few restaurants within walking distance and the parking lot was well illuminated.
