Great price

Room was very clean except for a spot or two on the carpet. Bed was comfortable, slept well. Bathroom was very clean, great shower, but no place to hold the soap or shampoo,

No Elevator!

Posted Nov 8, 2017
Do NOT book this hotel if you need an elevator. We ended up with a 5-floor walk-up and it was pretty awful to do that climb day after day.

Thank you for your comments. The Marrakech Hotel is a historic building dating back to 1908. Due to the historic status, we unfortunately we are unable to install an elevator, however the hotel has a 24 hour a day bell staff so no guests will need to carry any of their bags. Sincerely, The staff and management of the Marrakech Hotel

Nice hotel at reasonable price.

I was anxious about my stay here having read all the neagative reviews, there was nothing to worry about. There is no elevator so you need to be able to walk up steep stairs, I emailed in advance requesting a lower floor room and this request was accommodated, we were given room 106, which had a queen size bed and was clean and comfortable. Pros: right next to the subway on 103rd, 1 train down town takes you to all the sights. fantastic staff who could not do enough for you, Frank and Eran were amazing. Large enough room with comfortable bed and pillows. Small bar in the lobby. Room cleaned daily with fresh towels laid out. Starbucks, broadway cafe and bagel shop on the doorstep for breakfast. Reasonable price for Manhattan Cons: No elevator so if you can not manage steep stairs this is not for you. No coffee/tea facility in room Can hear noise from the street or other rooms.

Pros: The space - two double beds!
Cons: Some of the furniture is looking a little worn.
There are two flights of stairs straight up before you get to the lobby and no elevators. Our room was pretty large. The staff were very helpful. The hotel is very close to the subway and also Central Park. Great bakery, pizza place and Starbucks nearby. But not as much around as Midtown.

Budget-friendly Upper West Side hotel

Posted Oct 17, 2017
Pros: Proximity to subway and bus to LaGuardia.. Lots of coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Room was very clean and quiet.
Cons: No safe in the room. No "Do not disturb" card for housekeeping so you never knew when they might be wanting to clean.
Location: Pain au quotidien great for breakfast or lunch. Also found a gluten free bakery By the Way Bakery.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. There is no elevator so you have to be prepared for a lot of stairs. Hotel is very basic; do not expect any frills or extras but a good deal if you want a budget-friendly room.

Good value for money

The room was pretty good, there is, however, no lift in the hotel (some employee can help you move your suitcases up the stairs).

Overall not too bad but the room are super super small. Also it is too hard to carry stuff all the way to 5th floor but the staff were kind enough to help me.
