Utterly lovely hotel in Uppsala in a beautiful location near the cathedral and parks, quiet yet only a short walk to the centre and the station. Staff were friendly and helpful, nice breakfast, great little bar and super comfy rooms. A very human place.

All the things you want in a small hotel: Clean, sunny, friendly, and safe. The free washer and dryer plus sauna was a nice surprise. Great breakfast included.

This hotel is very close to the University and a short walk to the main shopping area. It’s about 1 kilometer from the central station. The rooms are Spartan, but clean. There are no facilities for making tea or coffee in the room. The wi-fi is secure. The breakfast is plentiful, but with no warm food. The staff are wonderful. The laundry and sauna are free.

Excellent hotel! Will come back!
The staff was very helpful and kind. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom very clean and spacious. Highly recommend the breakfast! Healthy and delicious. Excellent location, we had everything at walking distance, including charming restaurants on the river. Will definitely come back!

Delighted
I was preparing for a month in Sweden with my summer course and came a day earlier than usual. The location was ideal and in a part of Uppsala I had walked through but where I had not stayed. Convenient to the Castle, university and the Cathedral, this hotel had varied folks, some from New Zealand. When I checked out I was only a couple blocks from where I would be staying with my class.

A gem
Super friendly. Nice breakfast , good Wi-Fi, free laundry , quiet spacious room. Shared showers were clean and not busy. Next to a cute pub with nice food and good service. Staff were very helpful and cheerful.

We had a good experience at this hotel. The rooms were more like a bedroom rather than a hotel room however it had everything we needed. The breakfast and location was great.

I can't recommend this one highly enough.
The room was ready when we arrived shortly after midday - and access to the drinks machine (and fruit and biscuits) in the breakfast room was a lifesaver on a hot day. The room itself was more spacious than I had expected - twin beds, a comfy chair and a view of the cathedral to boot, plus there were chairs and a coffee table just outside in the hallway if you needed to spread out - and everything was spotless. Add as varied and tasty a breakfast buffet as I've seen in many bigger hotels and you'll see why i won't be going anywhere else in Uppsala.

I enjoy staying here
My third stay here and the only hotel in Uppsala that I have visited. One side of the hotel has good views over the town and cathedral. Even if you are allocated a room on the road side of the hotel, there are window bays on the corridor where you can sit on the cathedral side. Free coffee and biscuits are available throughout the evening. As it's an old building, the rooms have character and are of a good size, but sometimes the bathroom is a bit tight. This time I chose a room with only a toilet and washbasin. It wasn't a problem. Two shower rooms were along the corridor and in fact offered more space, hooks and elbow room than you would find in the en-suite shower. Many Uppsala attractions are quite close. Note that there is no staff presence after 2200 but the hotel is very security-conscious.

Nice and clean hotel!
A nice and clean hotel. They offer parking space for 120kr/day which is good since the closest public parking space is very expensive, about 20kr/h. The only bad thing was that there were no AC in the room (well, at least not in our). Didn't have the breakfast so no comment there. Location is very good too, quite area but close to the city centre. Recommend it!

Great location for campus and town visit
This centrally-located hotel was very convenient for a conference on campus, and I also appreciated the close walking distance to the city center. The adjacent parking lot was also a plus.

Great stay with great location
The hotel had a great location and clean! The breakfast selection was delicious. Only downfall our room faced out onto the road and was a little noisy. Overall great stay!

Good atmosphere
This is a nice, 'old fashioned' hotel. I was surprised by the fact that the shower was shared and thus outside the room, but even that was OK.

Its a nice and cleaning hotel. However, the rooms are very close to the street with traffic and not very isolated windows. So when the traffic started around 5 am I was wide awake (despite earplugs) . But if you are not disturbed by noise, its a nice hotel

Excellent Location at a Decent Price
The hotel has a perfect location. The staff were very good: extremely helpful, with excellent English spoken, and useful ability to check transport links and other local facts and information. Good breakfast in the Swedish style, and a fair sized room. The establishment is linked to the university and has a conference room used by staff and students. Some minor renovation work was being undertaken at the time of stay, and traffic noise might be a morning issue to some people in certain rooms. However the hotel was careful not to commence any work before about 8.30 and closed windows meant a very good sleep. The reasonable price more than compensated for the trivial negative points mentioned above and should not discourage prospective clients.

Don't arrive late!!!!!
We could not get in as arrived after 10.00 (we were told nothing about arriving 'late'). Rang number on door for security to let us in and got an Answerphone message asking us to call back at 9.00am. Very stressful had to get Swedish friends to sort it out while we waited outside in the dark!

Nice, friendly hotel close to city centre
Stayed here for two nights April 2017 whlist visiting the University. Good location, about 15 mins walk from station and 10 mins from city centre. Welcoming, friendly and very helpful staff. Good buffet breakfast. Just a lovely hotel. Would aim to stay here next time I visit.
