Great for an overnight

Pros: Large King bed, soft and clean.
Cons: Maintenance was sloppy (broken patio latch) and the bathroom showed considerable wear with chipped and discolored marble and sink.
Location: This is the center of Palm Springs. If you have business or fun planned, your are only 10 minutes away from any destination.
December in Paml Springs was cold, and the Riviera was dead quiet. Parking lot was full, giving us a long walk to the room. Door to the patio had a broken latch an would not open. Breakfast at the hotel cafe was almost comical, as two waiters argued over who should take the order, both got the order wrong, and it too forever to arrive. But all's well that ends well. In each case, staff recognized the inconvenience and comped a big part of the service. The adjusted costs were the right remedy for finally minor infractions. The room was clean, well appointed and comfortable. Generally, the 1950's style of the place was more kitsch than charming, but they tried, and we would certainly try them again.

Nice outdoor space, lackluster interiors

My husband and I stayed here for our babymoon for the weekend in December. We found he outdoor spaces very beautiful and well maintained, the landscaping was great and the pools were very clean and nice. We stuck to the chiki pool, which we pretty much had to ourselves all day and avoided the loud, crowded main soleil pool. Our room was just very moderate. The interior of the hotel needs to be updated badly, she is really showing her age in the decor choices and overall wear of everything (carpet, lights, wallpaper). It was clean, but not immaculate. I peeked under the bed before we left to make sure I didn’t lose anything down there and found a heavy layer of dust and some garbage. I also moved the curtains to see if anything had dropped down there and found that the carpet needed to be vacuumed. If you are looking for a great deal and an ok hotel, then this is fine, but if you used to really nice hotels, you may get rubbed the wrong way here.

My favorite Hotel in Palm Springs Period!

Pros: The rooms the entire facility.
Cons: A later check out.
Location: The strip is a block away from all eats, drinks, shopping, and entertainment.
Beautiful rooms and hotel facility. You really can't ask for any better. We got to stay in the junior suite and let me tell you it was amazing! From the moment I step foot into my room, I was in love! Even saying that I feel is an understatement. The facility boast an amazing pools equipped with cabanas and giant jenga's to play. Man! what a great experience!

I wouldn't exactly label this place a resort

Pros: The bed and pillows were awesome. I slept very well.
Cons: Needs some serious updating. More outside lighting. Seems too sketchy and quiet at night.
Location: It's close to the Tramway and a short drive away to most places. The 7-11 across the street is a homeless haven at night
The Lobby area and check-in staff provided me with a false sense of hope. It was swanky in appearance and the staff was very polite. Unfortunately, pulling back the curtain revealed a compound that is more akin to an old apartment community in serious need of updating than a resort hotel. Parking situation was not ideal. Not enough outside lighting. The interior section of the building I was staying in looked worn out and tired. The room and bathrooms were kept clean and the sheets and towels were replaced everyday. So major kudos there. However, name another Resort that provides a TV with a complete channel lineup strictly in Standard Definition? The phone in my room didn't work and my Brother had the same issue in his room. Is this resort lacking the resources? Maybe they should cut down on their 24/7 staff that seems to everywhere all night long and allocate some of those resources where it is sorely needed.

Smell in hall, horrible.

Not good. Did not have our reservation. Found us a room. No towels at pool. No drinking water at pool. 1st floor hall smelled horrible.

Perfect for the price

Went here for a last minute trip with my kids. The hotel is very big and very confusing to find your way. Everything was great, it wasn't noisy as I read in other reviews. Overall we had an excellent time.

Not what i expected!

Not a completely happy experience. Terrible stink on first floor bldg 4/5. Elevator button sticks. Hallway floors not clean. Bed comfy Pools nice.

Nice stay, main swimming pool cold!
