Pros: Literally everything
Cons: If anything I would say maybe have someone out in the turf area taking drink orders.
Location: Chapel of the Holy Cross, Jordan trail, Snoopy trail and Little Horse trail up to the top of the rock was AMAZING! Ate at Hudson's and The Bread Co.
Staff was wonderful all the way from check in to restaurant to shuttle. Rooms were large, clean and very comfortable. Grounds were so nice, fires to sit by, blankets to snuggle with and plenty of chairs. Complimentary coffee bar along with wine and appetizers at happy hour was great. Location was right in the middle of the town but located down a hill so was very quiet. Not just a nice hotel but a fun hotel.

Needs update

Posted Jan 29, 2018
Pros: The staff was very helpful and polite.
Cons: most everything about the building. Staff was great.
Location: After walking up an extremely steep and long hill, there are lots of shops and restaurants. The street scene is very nice.
rooms were small, only one sink for two people, no counter space, poor lighting, and the bed corners stick out far beyond the mattress which caused bruises on our legs. it was not mentioned in the discription of the property that you must walk up an extremely steep, long hill to reach the street level where the shops are located

Best staff

The staff was amazing! Every single person we encountered was extremely helpful and kind. The hotel itself seemed older. The bathroom needed some updating with the shower head but spotless. Would definitely stay again.

Amara

Be sure to get one of the special massages. They are awesome. The relaxation room is wonderful. The swimming pool is salt water and very refreshing. Go back and forth between the pool and the hot tub. The fire pits at night are great. You can take you own wine and enjoy the beauty of the area. After the sun goes down, the warmth of the fire is soothing. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. The shuttle to the top of the hill or to close attractions is very convenient. You can stop reading now. I don't have anything else to add but the note says add a bit more to your review. Sedona is beautiful. I had never been there before. Given the altitude is important to keep hydrated. Be sure to drink lots of water. Take some deep breaths often and slow down. It is important to conserve energy when you are at that altitude. Have a great stay in Sedona. Enjoy the scenery. I hope this ends soon as I can't think of more to go on about at this point.

Great boutique spa hotel in Sedona

Posted Jan 8, 2018
Pros: The staff, the outdoor spaces, the restaurant
Cons: More counter space in the bathrooms please.
Location: Great location, central for lots of restaurants and shops, and easy driving access to great hikes and outdoors areas.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Kempton. We were there over Christmas and were primarily looking to do some light hiking, enjoy the scenery and connect as a family (me, my husband and our teenage son). The hotel was perfect for that, centrally located, with great views and easy access to loads of local shops and restaurants. The room was comfortable, clean and relaxing. The only complaint I would have is that the bathroom counter space was not really adequate for 3 people. But that is a minor complaint really. The hotel has some great public spaces, both indoors and out. The outdoor spaces offer lovely views, comfortable lounge chairs around firepits and lots of blankets. The hot tub was great, but sadly the swimming pool heater was broken so it was freezing cold and not suitable to swim in. However both pool and hot tub have lovely views. This is a very dog friendly hotel, so there were several canine guests, all of whom were exceptionally well behaved. The hotel goes out of its way to make dogs welcome, but it didn't feel like this was all about the dogs, it felt more like a luxurious hotel where there happened to be some dogs as well. One of the best things about the hotel was the staff - they were all fantastic. They really went out of their way to help and to make guests welcome. Our hire car got hit by some logs on the highway and the front bumper had to be adjusted, but the hotel staff rallied to help us out to get the bumper sorted out.

Overall visit

Posted Dec 22, 2017
Pros: Lovely view of the stream and trees from my room. Loved the view and quietness of the room. Loved the pool and views.
Cons: Long unattractive walk through 3 halls-Make it prettier? Carpets were smelly-did you have a water leak?
Location: Loved the location.
Thank you for upgrading my room! Overall very pleasant with nice staff.
