Great stay, great staff and great amenities!

Posted Nov 11, 2017
I would recommend this place if you are looking for a great stay and really great amenities. Their pool, hot tub, and Lounge sitting areas were really amazing! We definitely would have enjoyed a complimentary breakfast with a hotel of this quality. Since you are paying for every meal it would be nice to at least have a free breakfast. The staff was very helpful with figuring out where to hike and what to do. I wouldn't pay for one of these super expensive rooms, I would just get the cheaper room and enjoy the view on the patio. The valet was also great! They should also trim down the trees a little bit so you can enjoy the view a little better.

Early closure

The restaurant and bar close very early at this facility. Lots of people about and staff closed the bar at 10pm

Nice, but showing wear.

Posted Nov 2, 2017
Staff was excellent in every detail. Valet quick and courteous. Rooms very spacious, however beds were too firm for our liking, and plumbing pipe rattles woke us up in the night, along with heating system thumping. Overall the feeling is the hotel needs some improvements in its infrastructure, but the staff and the hotels operation is top notch!

Nice small resort spa in Uptown Sedona

Posted Oct 28, 2017
Pros: Resort/Spa vibe, small and welcoming, comfortable room and lobby.
Cons: Staff generally was very good but for the price paid and image of the resort, a refresher on the focus making the customer experience exceptional.
Location: Location is nice and secluded which worked for us well. It is down a hill from shops and restaurants so walking or a car is mandatory.
We stayed two nights, had dinner , used the pool and had a yoga class. It was a very nice experience over all. Staff were helpful , food good, comfortable room and amenities. Location is very nice fo feel away from the main drag but it is a walk uphill to go shop or find other restaurants. For the two days and nights we were happy to stay close to the resort but for a longer stay prepare to walk or drive a lot.

Not quite as nice as the price suggests

Posted Oct 24, 2017
This is a nicely designed hotel, with nice common spaces, in a good location. At the same time, the rooms are somewhat generic, and the upkeep is somewhat lacking. Stained shower curtain and window curtain, shower temperature control that doesn't work--things that show that they're not paying enough attention. The restaurant is decent but not a destination restaurant like at the Enchantment.

It's the little details that count. Sounds like we need to focus in on some of these items that can take away from the greater experience. Thank you for the honest feedback! We'll keep working to improve.

Amazing staff and service. They went out of their way to be extra kind and helpful. The hotel was very nice without being too fancy but a very nice and we'll designed experience. Overall we loved it.

Not worth the price!

Posted Oct 12, 2017
We just finished our stay at the Kimpton Amara Resort in Sedona. The hotel grounds are beautiful and there are great views of the Red rocks from the restaurant, Salt Rock and the Infiniti Pool. The entire staff was warm and friendly from the valet to housekeeping. My biggest complaint is that we booked this room through Expedia about 2 months before our trip. The room they gave us a room that had a maximum charge per night at about 100 less than what we paid. I really feel that they are giving guests the cheapest rooms when booking through a third party. Our room was small, barely had any amenities and no views. Was the room worth what we paid? Absolutely not. I don't know if its worth booking these rooms through third party sites like Expedia due to their policies and when you go to the hotel you get only third class rooms.

Boutique Hotel in Uptown Sedona

Posted Oct 4, 2017
Small, quiet hotel set off the main road in uptown Sedona but within close walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The hotel, restaurant and bar staff members are very friendly and helpful. The spa is lovely - had the best mani /pedi ever from Robyn - and the hotel offers two free yoga classes in the AM and a free wine happy hour from 5-6 pm. The room and bathroom were smallish - thought they would be bigger from the photos. The central courtyard offers a beautiful view of the Sedona mountains - never get tired of those views!
