"Pleasant Hotel in an Interesting Tourist Town"
Very good! The rooms were exceptionally clean, comfortable, and very well decorated. There is a vine covered veranda in the middle of the hotel which is pretty, cool, and a comfortable place to sit. The hotel also had a small parking area for its guests. Although the staff spoke little English, their good attitude opened the door to communication and we managed to convey our needs in English. I definitely would stay there again.

"Loved it."
I spent 2 nights at this hotel, and loved it. Diego at the front desk spoke English and was fantastic in offering ideas on things to do and see in MVD. He told me about Greeting Man .... many locals don't even know about this sculpture! The hotel even loaned me an adapter for my e-reader, no questions asked. The room was an unusual loft layout, but efficient. Plenty of heat too on those cold nights. The location of the hotel is in the Old City- within walking distance of everything. And many of the bus routes end at the Plaza nearby, so it's easy to get home. Breakfast was delicious (Illy coffee!) and robust. I give this place five out of 5, except for the night staff who didn't seem to care much about guests.

"Decent place to stay but lacking in a few areas."
Staff very friendly. Room was acceptable. However we noticed the towels we left were occasionally not replaced by fresh ones. Also there was a significant mold problem on the ceiling of the bathroom which grew over the three days we were there indicating a water leak in the room above. The room was OK but showed that maintenance could have been a bit better on small things. Certainly worth the price and we would stay there again, but not for a longer time.

"Center situated, Clean, friendly helpful stuff."
I had 4 days in a business travel. the location is in the hart of the center. 15 meters from Entrevero Square. in fact its clean and has a very nice stuff. internet is OK. break fast is basic. Not very good also not bad. the only issue is the bathroom, despite of being very clean, its very tinny. And the sink is very small to buzzer. the bed is nice. lights are enough. good flat screen tv. beside the hotel you have many food options: the Fugon rest, Maccdoanlds, the Pasiva, Micro Market. the same street , Rio Negro, gives to the Atlantic in a 7 minuts walking distance. in general its good stay to me as a business traveler.

"Great into to Montevideo"
Karen is a great hostess. She has lots of info to get you started on your visit to the city and country. While we were there she found us milongas and carnival venues to go to for every night of our stay. The location is good as it very close to Teatro Solis and the squares, and museums in the old part of the city. By keeping to July 18 we were able to walk to everything we wanted to go to even at night. It was nice having a kitchen available as our lunch at the market was so large we took a doggy bag home and had the rest for dinner. WiFi was good and there was also a phone and computer available for use if you didn't have your own.
