Masks are mandatory but not enforced. Some staff members would not use them. Street parking is safe, no need to pay for parking. The room was basic, . Air conditioning remote would not work so I was unable to control the temperature. TV would not work. I was not able to reach front desk through the room's phone. The location is very centric. It is great. The lobby is clean and pleasent. The staff is very nice. The breakfast is included and it is very good. They have a nice little patio outside where you can have breakfast. Overall, I was happy with this hotel.

Ok hotel for the money - great location
The hotel is in a great location. For the money it was fine. The room , hallway and lobby were dated. But the bathroom was updated and the shower and sink were nice. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast room is cozy and bright. We only stayed one night so all in all it was good. If I went back to Punta deal este for a longer trip I would choose another hotel.

Great hotel
We stayed here for 6 nights. The staff couldn't be more kind and friendly. The guests were the same. They have many repeat customers. Great location. One block to beach. Close to marina area, and shopping. The front porch was wonderful for sitting with a cocktail or tea, and the attached restaurant served great food, inside or outside dining. Breakfast every morning was very good. lots of selections. I can't say more about the friendly and kind staff.

Great price for the location.
I gave this hotel 4 stars because it was a great price for the location. The hotel itself is old and the rooms are a little run down. Had we paid more for this room I would have given it only 3 stars. The location is wonderful. It is very convenient to get to shopping, bars, and the beach. The room is a decent size and the bedding is adequate. The breakfast is pretty good. It does have some warm foods, which is nice for this price. Some additional things, the door on the rooms are a little flimsy. I think security is okay for the room, but I was a little surprised by them. Just a word of caution, the restaurants nearby can be very expensive. A very simple meal at the nearby pizza place cost almost as much as our hotel room.

Nice little hotel in central Punta del Este
Punta del Este is dead in the winter. It was extremely cold, and we were, what it seemed to be the only guests in the hotel. Nonetheless, it is a beautiful location, and the hotel is more than adequate. Breakfast service was very good, the room was small but comfortable, and we eventually figured out how to make the heater work.

Five days at the beach
Comfortable room, clean, okay WiFi. Had lawn chairs and towels to take to the beach. One of the best breakfasts we've had during our five months of traveling.

Excellant Location near shopping and sights.
We enjoyed our stay. The service was excellent, even with a bit of a language barrier, the staff bent over backwards to help us. The only real complaint has to do with noise outside of the hotel. We like to keep the window open for fresh air and there was a lot of night noises from Motorcycles to car alarms.

Great landing pad for beach vacation
This hotel was convenient to the beach. It was also walkable from the bus station and many great places to eat and shop. The decor reminded me of my Grandma's house, but it was clean and well-kept. It felt a little pricy, but we quickly learned that everything is pricey in Punta Del Este! We came back to the room in the afternoon for a break from the sun. We took a nap and then headed back out and later that night we found our bed had been remade. The staff was friendly and worked well with English speakers.

Older (but well-kept) hotel in a great location
The hotel is nothing special. It is very dated, but the price and location CANNOT be beat. It is in the middle of everything. Also, they maintain the hotel perfectly so even though it may be older, it is very clean, extremely well-kept and in great condition. I definitely recommend staying there if you don't mind all the luxuries of modern day hotels.

70s Palace - great location and value, good ser..
Place is older for sure, but a great location and the hotel staff is awesome. Don't be turned off by the look/feel of what could be described as the 1970s palace of Punta del Este! The services is great, breakfast is good, and the front desk folks are about as helpful as you're going to find in Punta del Este. You're a block and a half from the beach, and 7+ blocks from the marina. Very good location and value for a hotel in Punta.

Perfect stay.
We picked this place for its location and were leary about the lower scores, but it was a great little place. Our room had a queen and a twin bed w/clean, comfy linens and turndown service. The b/r had purple, yes, purple bath fixtures, including the bidet and a funky colorful wallpaper. The large windows in the room had roll down shutters that are great for sleeping in. The free breakfast included fresh bread, toast, ham, cheese, sweet bread, cereal, yogurt, and fruit and juice and great hot coffee and tea. It was really quiet since it is early spring and there were absolutely no crowds anywhere so maybe that's why the service was so good here. The very best part is its location, only about 2 blocks from the beach and w/in a 3 minute walk to major shopping and restaurant areas, bars, and entertainment. If you have a car, the underground parking is also free. We had no problems and would definitely stay again.

A weekend in Punta del Este
Spent the weekend visiting friends and family. Enjoyable stay......the hotel was simply a place to sleep, have breakfast and use the internet.......clean, simple and functional.....like many hotels outside the USA and in this price range the rooms and bathrooms are relatively small and somewhat crowded.....not a surprise...hotel is well situated for dining, shopping, transportation, etc.

Is vey convenient, as it is located down town Punta del Este. you can walk thru Gorlero Street( shopping and restaurants) and you are just a few blocks of the beach ( walking distance). You can skeep to have a car. You are near the port.

If you are in a very tight budget, seek no more
If you are in a very tight budget, this is the place to stay in Punta del Este. This is a no-frills hotel. Most rooms are small and the beds are not very comfortable. On the plus side, they have free parking and it is centrally located.

the beach is great, your only a couple of blocks away, the restaurants nearby are good, the rooms facing the street are noisy at night. the staff is very nice. you have underground parking.

El gral. Bien sin pretensiones
En gral. estuvo bien, todo muy limpio la habitación era estándar por lo que el mobiliario era antiguo y había algunos detalles como que la grifería de la ducha estaba suelta. La tv por cable + de la mitad de los canales no funcionaban pero en realidad solo queriamos la hab. para pernoctar.

Las habitaciones aparecían recién pintadas y limpias aunque el mobiliario aparecía anticuado. Los baños eran modernos y confortables. El ascensor tenía un cartel advirtiendo que la carga maxima era de dos pasajeros mas sus valijas. Muchas veces tuvimos que esperar para no superar esa limitación. El desayuno no estaba incluido y costaba USD$7 por dia por persona. Si llegábamos después de las 9 algunas cosas se habían terminado y no eran repuestas. El personal era muy amable y amigable.
