Great beach getaway

Pros: Excellent service, free upgrade upon arrival, and good food and drinks.
Location: The beach is nearby, and there are quite a few restaurants and shops on the main street near the hotel.
I had a great experience staying at the Sofitel in Montevideo. We were upgraded upon arrival, and experienced great service all throughout the hotel (the spa, restaurant, bar, room service, etc.). It's ideal for a weekend or romantic getaway, and also if you want to be a minute away from the beach while still being 20-30 minutes away from the main downtown area of Montevideo.

Best place to stay in Montevideo. Historic hotel that has been beautifully renovated and is now managed by Sofitel. Amazing architecture. The restaurant is also very good.

Fomos mto bem atendidos pela recepção do hotel; todos mto gentis. Localização boa para descansar, pois fica afastado do centro. Apesar de ter uma boa área comercial ao redor do hotel. Ótimos restaurantes tb nos arredores do hotel.
