Next time we will go to Syracuse

Posted Aug 20, 2015
Pros: Not that much.
Cons: The restaurant food. The in room coffee pot did not make hot beverages.
Location: Nothing.
We needed a hotel while we sold antiques at the Madison-Bouckville Antique Show. Utica is not a pleasant place. We left the hotel very early every morning and feared for our safety to stop for coffee near the hotel. The hotel did not provice parking. Parking was $7.00 extra every night , in a city parking lot, that was not even monitored for security. We reserved a room with a king bed, but got a room with two double beds.

Nice stay in downtown Utica

Posted Aug 19, 2015
Pros: Comfortable rooms, nice lounge, and convenient location.
Cons: More on tap beer choices in the lounge.
Location: Close to coffee shops and restaurants. Easy to get back on the road.
This was a one night stay in the middle of a road trip to the East Coast, The hotel was attractively furnished: lobby, lounge, restaurant, and the individual rooms. The Sleep Number bed was a nice surprise! Our check in was smooth and the staff was very helpful. There is a great bakery/coffee shop close to this hotel where we enjoyed our breakfast. Check out was smooth and we were on our way again.

Small noisy bathroom….. plus.

Posted Aug 17, 2015
Pros: Location, nice rooms, great TV, easy to navigate the remote and good sized fridge.
Cons: As mentioned, noisy bathroom fan and nice looking but poorly built bed lamps. No attendant one night in the garage.
Location: Visited the Munson-Williams-Proctor museum.
For a room with two beds the bathroom seemed very small. Also that vent fan was very noisy, not broken, just too loud. I noticed the good looking and functional lamps attached to the headboard, great design and look but every time I adjusted the lower gooseneck arm reading lamp the entire lamp attached to it moved. It was not secure enough to stay in place. Other than that the hotel seems like a very nice place.

Not too far from highway

Posted Aug 10, 2015
Pros: Location and room
Cons: Housekeeping, there was a clump of long blond hair in the bathtub and drain was full of hair.
Location: In the downtown core and not far from the interstate.
Great location right in the heart of the city. Few restaurants in the area and all shops were closed on a Saturday at 3:30. Stayed overnight and was surprised to be charged for parking. Are hotels going the way of the airline industry and charge for everything? Housekeeping needs some improvement, long hair from previous guest clogged the bathtub drain.

Great staff and good stay

Posted Jul 30, 2015
Pros: The staff was very nice, room was quiet and hotel was in a good location for us. We also like having coffee available.
Cons: Breakfast included would be nice.
Location: We were going to Cooperstown and wanted to stay fairly close.
We didn't know what to expect from this hotel, but we were very happy with our stay. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful with suggestions for dining. We liked having a bar/restaurant in the hotel where we could get a drink and relax after a long day of driving.

Surprising find to recommend along Hwy 90

Posted Jul 28, 2015
Stopped here en route to Boston. The hotels along this route seemed to either be low priced, low rate hotels or overpriced for this location. This one offers a reasonable rate and rewarded us with a newly renovated suite.fresh carpeting, spacious, quiet fridge, new tv and comfortable beds. Certainly updated for2015 despite its outward appearance and common areas which still look like they may be pre 2000s. Planning to return on our way back to enjoy the relative 'luxury' that it offers.

Newest hotel in Utica.

Posted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: Location. Cleanliness.
Cons: Food at dinner.
Staff really went out of their way to be helpful. Food in the restaurant for dinner was at best OK. Breakfast was much better. Hotel is new but borders on garish. Extra charge for parking.
