Location, Location

Posted Nov 19, 2016
Pros: Location, ,location
Cons: The bathroom could be nicer. It has a chilling effect, the sink is too high, nothing in it is designed for comfort.
Location: Central Utrecht is just outside the hotel.
Coming to Utrecht for Le Guess Who festival, the biggest draw of the Apollo was its proximity to the main venue, the Tivoli. It is also within walking distance to almost every other place in central Utrecht. It was the second time we've stayed here and learned from experience: this time we had a room in the front part of the hotel. While it is noisier, the room was newer and in a better condition. Still, nothing much can be said about the rooms, which are very very basic.

Pros: location free tea and coffee comfortable beds. Very quiet
Cons: The bathroom fittings need a bit of an update
Location: Near shops and station
Good location near the station and shops. A bit of a trek to our room. We appreciated the free tea and coffee available 24/7.

Great City Centre Location

Posted Nov 11, 2016
Location: TivoliVredenburg Venue, City Centre, Shops, Restaurants, Central Station, Museums, Gardens, Architecture
A quirky hotel in a great location, just a short walk from the station and close to shops, restaurants and attractions. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, however there are a multitude of great eateries within a very short walk, the hotel does offer breakfast each day and has a rather nice coffee lounge (free/self service) that you can access 24/7. Wifi available throughout the hotel, rooms comfy and clean, hotel staff were brilliant.

decent budget hotel in central location

Posted Oct 8, 2016
Pros: Central location
Cons: Hand soap in shower, handle fallen off wardrobe door & curtains a few small holes
Location: Close to train station & most attractions
This hotel is very close to the canal area, Dom tower & train station. It was what you expect for the money. The room was clean & tea & coffee provided but no frills & a little worn. Bathroom was decent but hand soap was used as the shower gel.

No value for money

Small, noisy rooms for 160 euro/night. Room was not overly clean. Wouldn't come back.

Apollo Hotel Utrecht

Posted Oct 2, 2016
Hotel is well situated in Utrecht and staff were helpful. The breakfast was good but very expensive. The rooms were clean but bed was not comfortable. The shower had no mixer tap which would make it dangerous for a child or frail older person. It also had no front so it was impossible to shower without the floor getting wet. Again a potential risk factor as well as being unpleasant. The hair dryer was poor. Finally there was huge variation in price for the same room. People in my party found the were not always given quoted price.

Nice hotel in the city center

I enjoyed my stay here. The room was small but well-kept and clean. It was quiet and very close to Utrecht Central Station.
