Poop in the shower

We took everything out of the truck after a day at the river and brought it into the room. We have the kids a shower a noticed that the bathtub was draining really slow. Cheap hotel so maybe just bad plumbing. Didn't think much of it. My wife blew her nose and put the tissue in the toilet. She tried flushing it down, but the toilet wouldn't flush. She told me at this time so I went down to the office since their phones were down. The lady said she could try to get a hold of maintenance or switch rooms. She said she may not be able to reach maintenance though. I asked if there was a plunger that I could use cause I really didn't want to wake up my son or move all of our stuff. She had one so I went back to the room with it and attempted to plunge the toilet. It didn't work, but it did make someone else's poop come up through the shower. Obviously we had to switch rooms after that. Got into the next room and the shower handle was broken and I had to hold down the fill valve for the toilet tank to fill up enough to flush the toilet. We won't ever stay there again. You get what you pay for.

Hotel needs updating.

Damp smell in room. Had hole in the wall that needed to be repaired.but we were too tired to complain. After a long day in the Frio river. Room was ok, served it's purpose. Just a place to sleep nothing fancy just an older hotel room.

Will not stay here again

Door security latch was loose due to door wood trim broken. Refrigerator and microwave were not connected to an outlet. Electrical cord did not reach to any available outlet. There were dirty blankets and bed covers inside TV stand drawers. Telephone in the room did not work.

Friendly staff, but that's it...

The staff was awesome, but other than that it left little to be desired. From the old school box TV to soft, creaky spots on the floor, stains all over the carpet, and what I can only assume to be dried blood on the stair case. The continental breakfast was either waffles or store bought brownies and mini powdered donuts. The coffee was more like watered down tea, even if you made it in your room. It was really gross everywhere you looked.

Nice hotel for the price. Did not have the breakfast so i cannot comment on how that was.

Very comfortable stay

Pros: Good parking close to where we wanted to go.
Cons: Just minor wear and tear details.
Location: In center of town, and close to relatives.
No problem getting around town from hotel. No bad traffic problems.
