Needs updating

Posted Feb 8, 2016
Pros: Not much ... but if I was to say something positive, it had a fireplace in the room and they would light it for you every night if you asked.
Cons: Update the hotel, it was like stepping back in time. Improve the food. Keep bar open longer for guests since it is so far from any other place.
Location: Town is dead, 40 minutes to Vail
First this hotel is about 40 minutes to Vail. Area is dead and everything at hotel closes at 10pm. Boring. Sadly there was little to like about this hotel. It is old and needs updating badly. Balcony in room but door blew in cold air. It did have a fireplace and they would send someone to light a fire (one plus). Staff was nice, but lacked good customer service. Food was horrible, tried restaurant and room service. Very slow. There were 3 tables in dining room for breakfast and after 30 minutes asked where our order was and they said the kitchen was really busy ... with what??? The shower had no water pressure. I could go on, but I think you get the point. We normally stay in Vail, but there was nothing available this time on a decision for a last minute trip. This place seemed to have good reviews but we can not say the same. Thought price was good, but after getting there we saw why ... and to be very honest, it was over priced for condition of the hotel and quality of food and drinks.

Paradise in the Mountains

Posted Feb 4, 2016
Pros: Everything from the room, spa, firepit outside, fireplace in room, great service!
Cons: Beds were not the most comfortable but they were not bad at all. This is the only thing that I could think that could be improved on.
Location: The located is great. Right outside of Edwards and close to vail. We actually skied at Copper Mountain which was a little less than an hour away.
Got a great deal on Expedia for this hotel. We stayed 3 nights and we loved it. All rooms come with a patio/balcony. Bathroom came with two sinks, towel warmer and we just had the basic room with two queens. Had a gas fireplace that kept the room really warm after a good day on the slopes. They have an outdoor firepit that was nice to sit at during the evening. The hotel even provided marshmellows and smore rods for the firepit. Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We had dinner at the restaurant located at the hotel and the food was delicious. Next time we will pick up some beer on the way in instead of buying it buy the can at the hotel (it can get a little pricey). The hotel was almost full but it didn't seem that way at all. Very quite and relaxing!

Nice hotel with a very picturesque view!!

I enjoyed my stay at this beautiful hotel, however, I didn't like the antiquated tv that's in the room and another issue I had was that the water went in and out when you're taking a shower.

Better than the Ritz for skiing at Beaver Creek/ V

Posted Jan 18, 2016
Every need for skiing anticipated. Their shuttle and slopeside clubs make up for distance from slopes. Friendly and efficient and anticipatory staff. Fine restaurant. Best surprise I have had in a long time

Superb Ski Vacation

Posted Jan 13, 2016
Amazing value for money, the ski lodge at strawberry lift in Beaver Creek is worth the room rate alone. We will be returning with our 7 year old very soon. Great shuttle to ski resort, always on time, huge room with balcony, friendly staff.

Great hotel with spectacular Mountain Views

Posted Nov 27, 2015
Pros: The views from our room was amazing
Our family was vacationing and traveling through Colorado and stayed at the Lodge and Spa at Cordillera for a few nights. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. I was very impressed by the location and the overall condition of the hotel. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel was close to all of the local ski resorts. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
