Nice hotel right in the heart of the action

Posted Oct 14, 2017
Pros: Right in the middle of the walking only area of Vail with loads of shops and restaurants . An older type of property kept in very good condition.
Cons: Interior was very hot and we controlled our room temperature by opening the outside sliding door. There was a ceiling fan.
Location: Top location with easy walking and a free local bus every 10 mins to Lionsgate for more shops &'restaurants.
Hotel is right within walking distance of lots of restaurants and shopping. Walk to some ski slopes. Not easy to locate so drive to the police small control box at entrance to the shopping mall and this property is within 50 yards with some underground parking. GPS screams " no parking in area". Hotel temperature was very hot and we needed to open sliding door to cool room. There was a ceiling fan in the room. Breakfast was standard continental.

Brilliant hotel, fantastic staff

Posted Sep 26, 2017
Stayed here for work for 3 days. Initial impression of the hotel, when dropped off outside, was it was old and that I'd made a bad choice. However, my mind was immediately changed the moment I arrived and was greeted by staff. The hotel was warm, clean, and had everything one would need. Wifi in my room was pretty patchy - first world problems and I wasn't in Vail to sit on my computer in my room so it was a nuisance rather than an inconvenience. I need to make a special mention of Jennifer - the duty manager. Not only was she amazing with me, I watched her during my stay as she interacted with other guests and she really makes the place what it is. Exceptionally friendly and goes out of her way to help where she can. Everything is walkable from here (in the autumn anyway!).

Perfect location

The Sitzmark is located within Vail Village. Excellent location with all the amenities we needed. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. We had a king suite with a mountain view, which was excellent. Breakfast was better than expected and the coffee was about the best I have ever tasted.

The Works

Posted Sep 19, 2017
Pros: Right in the middle of everything - a heated pool that's actually warm, and a hot tub that's actually not too hot....
Cons: A bell staff to lug luggage
Location: The Alpine Village setting is great and the hotel is right in the middle. Next time, we'll stay longer....
A little tricky getting in the first time, but worth it. Underground parking if you're early enough, and the cobblestone street neighborhood with shops, restaurants, bridges, gardens, fountains is terrific....

Pros: Everything about this hotel was great. The staff were very efficient and friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the beds were comfortable.
Location: Hiking and shopping but there was plenty to do if you had children with you too.
Everything about this hotel was great. The staff were very efficient and friendly. It was within easy walking distance of wherever we wanted to go.
