“This isn’t a 5 star . Room very dated. No kettle for making any hot drinks. No air con. Furniture dated. Hairdryer old. Staff not that friendly overall. Have to pay for tap water with dinner Waitress forgot drinks then bought me the wrong one. Then I got charged for it no apology. Don’t think they like the English. Certainly not worth £550 a night by any means. Plus side food lovely and spa pool lovely. So glad we only stayed for 3 nights. Now at hotel Alpin Hubertus just up the road.……

“Away from the centre of the village, surrounded by mountains, we had a lovely view from our balcony of a field with donkeys grazing and a small chapel at the far end of the valley. It is quite a hike from the hotel to the lake. If you’re a hiker, then this is the place for you. The dinner was expensive and mediocre. I do not recommend the half-board plan. Breakfast was okay, very limited choices. They benefit from the high tourist numbers obviously reflected in the limited value for money……

“The resort is located just outside of the town Cortina, but still very close to all the ski tracks and cable cars, so location wise, for the skiers are very convenient.
