It advertises free WiFi but that is only available in the small lobby on the first floor. None in the rooms. Very disappointing for traveling in a new city. Temperature in the hotel was extremely hot and even after turning the thermostat way down the room never got down to a comfortable temperature.

He usado este hotel al menos 4 veces, y cada vez está peor. Su gran ventaja es su ubicación, pero el deterioro de las instalaciones y del servicio ya no compensa

I paid for a room with a view and although it has a nice view to the river, the room smelled food all day. The kitchen extractor is on the second floor instead of being placed on the roof and this causes the smell directly into the room.

Valdivia one night stay
This was just a one night stop on a drive down thru Lakes area. Location was ok to walk around & had nice views across the river. Easy to walk to the fish market and across the bridge to trendy restaurants. We drove to the Kunstmann brewery which was less than 10 mins drive away. Close to the hotel we saw 4 huge seals (or maybe sea lions?) just lounging on the banks:pretty amazing! Hotel was nice enough but tired to say the least. Friendly staff but only a little English spoken.

The property was located near a lot of good restaurants and activities along the waterfront of the rivers. It was easy to walk to shopping.

The location could not be any better. What we did not like was the restaurant. Everything we tried was not well prepared and we ate there 3 times.

Don't respect bank privacy, bad service
At checkin they took my credit card information from hotels.com to charge a deposit without my consent and without telling me. When I talked about this issue with the manager, she said that is their way to do it, plus she committed to email me this Monday telling me if they are going to follow doing this process that way on check in, but again, I didn't get any email from her. Actually it is the first Diego De Almagro that just takes your money without asking. Filthy pool. Tried the restaurant for dinner and it was a joke. Slow service. I ordered one course but the waiter came with another and when asked he said "are you going to eat it anyway or did I have to change it?". Express check in means they could charge your credit card without ask, so be aware. Slow check out.

Great costumer service
Costumer service was very good, great lake view, location was perfect. Close to Valdivias center. Sunset was perfect from front of the hotel.

Nice hotel with view of river!
This hotel is on the river with a lovely view. Staff spoke limited a English but some. Convenient to some restaurants with walk or taxi. Walk on river walk to market is easily done.Breakfast was not the best Chilean offering. Bed comfortable and all in all I would recommend this hotel in the beautiful city of Valdivia!

Modern hotel in excellent location
Good hotel in the centre of Valdivia where I stayed for a couple of days. Helpful staff. Quiet room - which was much appreciated as many hotels in Latin America can be noisy. My room had a view of the river, and it is just a few minutes to walk along the water front into the centre of Valdivia. I previously stayed in this hotel chain elsewhere in Chile and had a similarly good experience.

Great Hotel overlooking the Calle Calle River
We went before the main tourist season and got a room overlooking the river. The view was fantastic. The room was large along with the bathroom. The hotel and surrounding neighborhood are very clean and within short waking distance to the city center.

Nice view to the river
The room had a nice view to the river. The location is very good, close to all attractions in town. The restaurant is OK, although the special Saint Valentine's Dinner was not good, and we canceled it to ask for a regular menu dinner. Look out: the taxes are NOT inclcuded in the Expedia price. There is a mistake there. Taxes are 19%.

False Advertisement X 2
False advertisement in general... that was our experience. The charges advertised in Hotels.com were not the charges applied by the hotel. The Hotel charged us twice as much for the rooms. Since we arrived late to an unknown city, we did not have much of a choice but pay and stay. It was hot in the room. We did not know this hotel did not have A/C, so we called the front desk and we were offered a fan for each room. We called twice but the fan never came. We slept with the windows open. The windows do not have protection, so families be extremely careful with children... DO NOT let them approach the windows if open. Next day at the front desk checking out and ready to get out of there we asked why we were not given the fan they offered. Their answer was that the night shift did not have personnel to help the guest. we'll never know if that was true, but we doubt we'll ever go back to this hotel. Hotels.com...never going back to you either.

Grata estadía en Valdivia
Buena estadía en un hotel con buena calidad y servicio de restaurant. Muy bueno el desayuno. Solo un detalle, la calefacción muy alta y no supe bajarla. Es un alto costo de energía.

No se hizo el aseo a la habitación, según me dijeron están con falta de personal, el estacionamiento estaba anegado por filtraciones, la habitación que me asignaron originalmente tenía una filtración en el radiador de la calefacción, me cambiaron a una que tenía mucho ruido de motores que comenzaron a funcionar en la madrugada. Lo bueno el desayuno y la disposición del personal de la recepción.

En gral bien, sin embargo, habitación con olor a encierro y un poco humedad. Cama muy cómoda. Escasos artículos de baño. Desayuno americano, pocos productos pero de buena calidad (mejorar jugos) Personal de ingreso y salida, falta amabilidad. No informan sobre piscina. En gral falta mantenimiento, se encuentra muy bien ubicado, lo cual es un plus, pero es un hotel con poca tecnología, tarjeta de ingreso a la habitación, defectuosa y personal poco dispuesto a resolver consultas.
