Located in Valencia's Camins al Grau neighborhood, Eurostars Rey Don Jaime Hotel is in the city center and near a metro station. Palau de la Musica and Prince Felipe Museum of Sciences are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Port of Valencia and Mestalla Stadium. City of Arts and Sciences and Oceanografic Aquarium are not to be missed. Our guests love the hotel's location for the sightseeing.
The lobby smelled like cigarettes at all times. The rooms were dingy compared to the photos. Our bathroom had mold between the tiles. The bathroom had a doorway sealed with an adhoc piece of wood which separated a bathroom from another room. This meant we could hear other guests using the toilet on the other side. There were cockroaches in the bathroom as well. It was unpleasant at the least. The rooms were loud and not very well insulated. We could hear guests from upstairs and outside. Initially, our room and the entire floor began smelling like sewage. We asked the staff about this and they told us that it's the way Valencia smells like. A maintenance worker used an ozone machine to clear the smell, but this replaced it with an unnatural chemical smell which was uninhibitable. We had to spend quite a bit of time and effort to get a new room which had almost identical issues, minus the smell. The towels were old and somewhat yellowed. I would advise against booking this hotel.
