Amazing hotel

Posted Oct 1, 2016
Amazing hotel, great location & facilities. Staff were fantastic, they catered to our every need. Our 2 year old had a great time and wants to go back! This hotel is also very close to La Playa beach and lots of restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

Very Relaxing Hotel

Posted Sep 27, 2016
Stayed for two nights Room was available at 11am way ahead of time Room very nice View of sea and beach perfect Staff extremely helpful and courteous Only downside was perhaps lack of tea/coffee facilities in room and iron/board in room Had a meal in Sorrolla restaurant 10/10 Perhaps not enough seating facilities on the terrace outside of the bar area and the management of this needs looking at for a hotel of this size Pool and spa areas very nice and iconic diving board from 1930 is a real eye catcher

Pros: Everything
Cons: Not a lot

Great hotel on the beach . First time to Valencia and won't be my last to this hotel . The hotel provides all that is advertised on expedia and more pool area lovely with a large swimming pool .and an adult sitting area as well as a kids area Hotel and grounds well maintained Staff excellent especially the customer service team , nothing is to much effort Easy to get to from the airport catch the No 5 metro and then get on the tram which is usually waiting as the train gets in then a 5 min walk along the beach all for 5 euros . Taxis are expensive charge around 40 euro

Standard as expected for the price and 5 stars

Posted Sep 12, 2016
Pros: Lovely setting right by the beach, and decent sized clean rooms and bathrooms.
Cons: The breakfast and inflated prices on basic bulk bought items
Location: The hotel is a 20min bus ride (at only 1.5euros) from the city and is right in the beach area near the marina and a variety of restaurants and bars.
Overall, the hotel setting itself was lovely and in-line with our expectations of a 5* hotel and for what we paid. The staff on the concierge desk were very friendly and polite, but a couple of staff in the bar area were quite rude/abrupt. Some aspects of the hotel seemed over priced for what they were. For example, basic drinks around the pool and ice creams were very much inflated in price. We bought two basic cornettos by the pool (they were nestle branded at best) and it came to over £8 for two! When lying by the pool you did sometimes feel like staff were pestering you too frequently and asking if you wanted a drink etc trying to bring in extra money and tips. We had bed and breakfast only. The breakfast was nice, but for the price not quite the level we expected. The meats and cooked section were relatively low quality, and there was little variety each day. Whilst the pool area was nice, there was a large section with just deck chairs that no one seemed to use and as such there was often a shortage of sun loungers for anyone who came late morning or afternoon. Removing some of the deck chairs and replacing with sun beds could improve this. Also, whilst there was a children's pool, a lot of people brought their children to the adults pool instead, which defeated the object. The umbrellas by the sun loungers were extremely heavy and cumbersome to move and put up, which could be an issue for some guests.

Not a five star hotel.

Posted Sep 11, 2016
Pros: The pool facilities are nice and the pool staff seems to have better customer service skills.
Cons: Staff needs customer service training.
I had numerous issues during this stay, all exacerbated by poorly trained staff who were argumentative. When I discovered two plumbing issues in my room, I alerted the front desk and specifically said they should fix it AFTER check out. Instead, a plumber entered the room (with the do not disturb sign on the door) and proceeded to take apart the shower in the room. So, for the remainder of the stay, there was not a functioning bathroom. The front desk was indifferent to this- I had to request the key to another room in order to shower after using the pool. Other issues- When I checked in, the front desk refused to give me the second card for the towel at the pool until the other person arrived. The front desk did not acknowledge my Expedia VIP status (so I did not get an upgrade) even after showing them my reservation on my iPad. The front desk manager actually argued with me telling me that I did not have this status. Eventually, they admitted the mistake and gave me a free breakfast. I had requested to sit outside for breakfast only if there was shade as it was a very hot day. Toward the end of my meal, a staff person came over and moved the umbrella shading me to another table. The elevators on my side of the hotel were not working half the time I tried to use them. I mentioned this to the front desk and nothing appeared to happen. I finally flagged down a staff person and showed him how the elevator was not working and he said he would get it fixed.

Prachtig hotel in Valencia

Posted Sep 4, 2016
Schitterend hotel gelegen aan het prachtige strand van Valencia. Hotel is wat duurder maar je krijgt waar voor je geld. In de omgeving veel leuke restaurantjes. Centrum is goed te doen met OV, ongeveer 4,5 km.

Perfect for luxury by the beach

Posted Sep 3, 2016
Pros: If you are going to stay, get a room with a sea view - this is the entire point of the hotel. We found 2nd floor central to be brilliant for sea views
Cons: Others have mentioned that the hotel rule that sun beds at the pool cannot be reserved is not enforced. This was our experience also.
Location: There are some beach from restaurants along side of the hotel which are mainly Paella based - buses and taxis are cheap to travel into the city.
My wife and I together with my daughter and boyfriend stayed for 11 nights in August and none of us wanted to return home. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and yes, while meals / breakfast etc were expensive we generally found we got what we paid for and the cost was well worth it. We found Valencia to be an amazing city with ambitions to compete with Barcelona and Madrid. Head into town for some of the stay, Bio-park, L'Oceanogràfic, The City of Arts and Sciences, the Old town and a high speed train ride to Madrid is both quick (1hr 53min) and cheap

Excellent hotel and staff, only a few steps to the beach and close to other attractions. City centre just a short bus ride away with stop just outside the hotel.
