This was my third visit to Oliva Nova. I fly in from Canada and stay there a few nights to recover from jet lag before proceeding with travels in Valencia region. Rooms are spacious and spotless. Staff are friendly. Buffet breakfast is top quality and keeps me going all day. White sand beach is perfect for long walks to clear away the cobwebs. Thank you Oliva Nova. I’ll be back!

Stayed at Oliva Nova 20 years ago, this trip was just as good if not better, the staff also handle the problem of no hot water for 8 hours with great professionalism and a smile

This was my second visit to Oliva Nova and I will return again. It is the perfect place for R&R. I stay there to recover from jet lag. Rooms are spacious and sparkling clean. Balcony views of sunrise are stunning. Breakfast is fresh and satisfying. The golden sands are five minutes away. Perfect! (Especially during Covid.) Thank you to the staff. 🙏

Great room. Very clean. Lots of channel choice on the TV. Huge bed. Lovely buffet breakfast with lots of choice. Good sized balcony. The couch turns into another bed and it wasn't really comfortable to sit on for a long time. But normally, you are not spending so much time in your room. Not easy to find at first but once you know which side road to take, its a breeze from the main road into Oliva. You really need a car though.

One of the worst hotel experiences of our lives. When we were checking in we were given a very hard sell to try and get us to upgrade and spend an additional €70 per night. We politely declined they then tried to argue that we were on bed an breakfast only when our reservation was clearly for half board and then they said we would need to pay €32 to use the spa for 90 minutes, this isn’t stated anywhere on hotels.com unlike other hotels. Our room was in a state of extreme disrepair with the curtain hanging off the wall, the lights not working and the toilet running (it is my belief they put us in this room to convince us to pay for the upgrade). We needed to shower before dinner and the repair guy was in our room so we went to ask reception how much longer they would be and could we change rooms so we could shower, they refused to let us meaning we had to go to dinner without a shower. The buffet dinner at best could be described as average and the atmosphere in the restaurant was that of a morgue. They closed the beach resort (one of the main reasons we visited) the day we were there despite it still being in there season. No pool towels are provided despite the hefty price tag again unless you upgrade. When we checked out the bill was also wrong with items added which clearly were wrong. Leaving this hotel was the highlight of staying at it.

This was my first stay at Oliva Nova. I wanted a self-contained hotel where I could relax for three days and recover from transatlantic jet lag. Oliva Nova was perfect! Elisa welcomed me and spoke excellent English. I was assigned a lovely classic double room on the 3rd floor in block two overlooking the cabanas and pools. At sunset I enjoyed stunning mountain views from both the east balcony and the west corridor. The breakfast buffet set me up for the day. Spain was in a heat wave so the abundant juices and water could be stored in the room's fridge. A short, groomed walk over the dunes led to a pristine beach where people carried their own umbrellas and mats - informal and clear of the usual beach clutter. The afternoon sea breeze brought out colourful kite surfers from the nearby club. The hotel courtyard had live music concerts at night and this was cheerful for someone travelling alone. All silent by midnight. Amenities excellent: comfy beds and good pillows (a rare compliment); well-appointed bathroom with deep, refreshing bath. Spacious balcony. This was high season and the hotel was fully booked. Clearly a favourite for families with small children. I look forward to returning to Oliva Nova! Thanks to everyone who works so hard to make it a happy and welcoming place.

Great Room good choice for breakfast although often stone cold. Some staff extremely rude the majority of the on site restaurants and bars closed (3rd week in May) this not advised by either expedia or the hotel. Nowhere to get a drink, snack if sat by the pool!! Broken lock on bedroom door had to repeatedly ask for this to be fixed as same issue kept reoccuring, leaving to room open for anyone to walk in, didnt feel safe. Other issues with room service and quality of meals, management not interested in discussing.

I had a great stay at hotel staff very friendly hotel room clean I was over for Met tour and the hotel ran free transfers to the showground and picked me up late at night one of the night staff went above and beyond his duty he took me to stables door and at 10 pm picked me up again so.greatful, arranged transfer from hotel to Airport nothing was too much trouble beautiful beach at back of hotel will definitely be back.

Overall, an excellent hotel. Helpful, friendly staff, great food, lovely pool, nice beach nearby BUT spa facilities were disappointing. We only used them once and they cannot be described as five star: circuit rooms limited and a bit scruffy in places and not very welcoming. Plus they should be offered free to paying hotel guests, not be an extra. Wi fi patchy. Hotel rooms themselves OK but dated.

Fabulous beachfront hotel and facilities. Just loved every minute and my trip was made even better by the friendliness and professionalism of the staff who were extremely helpful. Beautiful room with seaview. Fantastic outdoor pool and lounge area. Great gym. :-)

Definitely worth getting a room with a sea view ! The views are fabulous and the balcony is a lovely spot to enjoy the views and relax. Breakfast is definitely worth it. There was less of a fruit selection to our last visit which was a little disappointing. But it was still a great breakfast selection. The evening buffet included with the half board was delicious and a great choice for everyone. My only complaint is that there was no table water provided for dinner, whereas at breakfast this was included. The pool and spa are great and the beach is perfectly safe for swimming.

Never again- Hell on Earth
I chose the expensive Hotel Olivo from the pictures of peace and a bit of luxury. I couldn’t wait to swim! But the hotel is full of screaming, loud families with hundreds of little children, I tried to swim but there were 104 children in the pool. They also had loud disco- music and water- sports and Pool volleyball so if you didn’t get a diving kid in your head, you were blown out by the noise from micro- ported coaches and horrible music. One coach rolled her eyes at me and threw her arms in the air, practically giving me the finger when I asked where the adults could swim? The couch in my room came apart, the tv didn’t work and when it did, it didn’t have CNN or BBC, then the remote didn’t work, then finally it did- but then I couldn’t turn OFF the tv. Finally, a man came and ripped the tv off the wall! THEN it stopped! The evening restaurant said,” We are sold out- but when I walked by, there were empty tables. The noise and the hundreds of running, shouting, diving, water- bombing, crying kids was the worst. I am exhausted after my vacation and I shall never ever come back!
