Business hotel quiet location

A business hotel within walking distance to nice eatery. The only minor wrinkle is they do not provide ironing equipment in the room.

Pros: everything
Cons: nothing we could see
Location: restaurants within 10 minutes pleasant walk - including Mercado de Colon, bus stops outside and easy walk to the city highlights
Chosen mainly on location but delighted to find all our other requirements satisfied. Helpful staff, full amenities including Wi-Fi despite other complaints, excellent breakfast and comfortable room and beds. As I say, faultless, with restaurants close by and even bus stops just outside to beach and town. Highly recommended

Valencia Palace

The room was very spacious and comfortable for two people. Although slightly further out we decided to book this hotel based on the facilities shown online - an open roof top swimming pool and terrace area. This was not the case once we arrived. The roof top pool is closed off and only available to be opened at the "managers discretion". It was never opened following our requests. The roof terrace is a small space of plastic turf with no tables or chairs. The wifi only works within certain parts of the hotel - i.e. in the bedroom further away from the door the wifi does not work. There is a fee for a premium wifi service which blows my mind being in the 21st century. The lobby bar staff are amazing and this is where you'll spend most of your time if the other facilities don't meet your needs. If you are after a beautiful room within a nice hotel this is for you. If you are after great amenities I would encourage you to research further.

Pros: Cleanliness and friendly staff.
The hotel is close to the extraordinary architectural work of Calatrava: Palace of art and sciences, Oceanographic, etc., and to the elegant streets, museums and monuments of a beautiful city.

Nice break

Overall our stay was very nice. The Hotel could do with new mattresses and pillows as the beds weren't very comfortable. A change of menu too in the restaurant would be a good idea. The food was lovely but if you are staying 2-3 nights and after a hard day walking it would be nice for a different food choice.

Great location for all Valencia has to offer, this is a great hotel with helpful knowledgeable staff and a great breakfast. Brilliant city to visit and would stay her next time.

All great,BUT!!!

So all was really great here, however the day when checking out I was being charged for 3 bottles of water from the mini bar when I only had two. I told the front desk customer representatives that I only had 2 bottles of water from the mini bar and don't have no clue how they got me with 3 but that was incorrect. They seemed confused and hesitant to not do anything about it but say to me that's what they have down guessing on their record or something so I decided to not waste further time debating with them and pay for an extra bottle of water I never led had to due time restraints.

Good location

Pros: Location, nice staff and comfortable bed.
Cons: Swimming pool needed refurbishment. Wifi was intermittent. TV in room did not work but we reported it and it was sorted.
Location: It's very close to the park and relatively easy to get to from the metro. Good restaurants a short walk over the bridge.
We had a five day stay at the hotel and moved rooms due to poor wifi connection and TV. The hotel does need some refurbishment, particularly in the foyer and swimming pool. It did not seem to be a 5 star hotel. However, the location was good and reception staff did sort out issues we raised.
